Thinking of going to Portugal in February. But confused about what tests you need to leave UK and on return.

I'm double jagged

I have the paper copy of vaccine proof and also the app downloaded showing proof of vaccine

Any help is appreciated

It's pretty dynamic and the government in England have suggested there may be no need for testing after arrival here. But they can change their minds. A winner crisis or a new variant could change things a lot.

The UK NHS app has been talked about having compatibility with the EU system. This may be sorted for then.

Fingers crossed it stays positive and gets easier

Going over there no tests, you need to book your day 2 test before going (currently PCR, but plans to make that LFT by end of October) as you’ll have to input the barcode when you complete your passenger location rorm up to 72 hours before arrival back in England.

Coming back -non. As of today double jabbed travellers don’t need to prove a negative test prior to entering England when travelling from a non red country.
