clinical trials check out the gov web site also check out the yellow card gov web site to what bad side effects you can cet.

p.s before any calls me names am only here

i do not ware a tin hat i look at the facts. "

Which jab? There are several. The ones being rolled out outside clinical trials have passed the requisite stages beforehand.

As to the others... You don't end up on a clinical trial by mistake

Depends on the person. His age, his health condition, any medications the person takes etc. And depends on the covid variant.

But one thing is for sure, the protection of the vaccine wanes over time.

There is no simple answer.

I didn't say I was having a booster, the OP did

To be honest the reason I said maybe try google is you have come across as being against jabs for a long while ( which is fine ), then obviously said you were told not to have it ( which is obviously also fine ) so your questions don't come across as wanting to know these things because you have a vested interest but more to question the jab altogether. I wouldn't have thought it would be of any interest to you

I had my booster on Wednesday and I had the Flu jab too in the other arm. I had the Pfizer both times previously. Got to say though, on Thursday I felt a little rough but I am putting that down to the Flu jab rather than the C-19 jab as I have never had problems previously with the C-19 jab xx

That's the bit that is making me wary, getting both at once

It still could have been the covid jab though making you feel off, I had a worse reaction to the second jab.

"Why are boosters needed?"

We're still very early on in our understanding of this virus, notwithstanding that we've never learned so much about any illness in world history. The vaccines' safety and efficacy were thoroughly evidenced before approvals but we didn't have the luxury of time to waste before that, to research the longevity of immunity etc. Antibodies, just 1 part of our immune response, have levels that decline - as they do after all infections - so the booster will strengthen this and other immune systems parts. The most vulnerable typically have immune systems that are less robust than those of other people, so it's wise to target them first.

With increased antibody levels, they will have a much more robust fast attack against the virus, should they be infected.

It's peculiar how we react so differently and it's a natural habit to be resistant to anything that may make us feel a little ill, even though it's just a sign of our immune response letting us know that it's working well.

That advice was precautionary because at the start of the vaccine rollout, there was no evidence as to whether this was okay or not. Research has been ongoing over the past year or so and has established that it is okay to give both of these specific vaccines at the same time.

The 7 days minimum interval between different jabs was standard all year, until now. I think it's now been relaxed, to allow sufficient capacity to be freed up, to help to administer enough vaccinations of both, before winter.

Is there any real need for the booster! I hearing of people getting the booster and other vaccines like above so soon. Do you's not stop to think what you's ate putting in your body for a second. Surely All these vaccines in your system is going to have a negative effect somewhere down the line with your health. I'm not anti vax but filling up on the numbers I'm hearing surely doesn't sound good for one's health.

Think they are used to boost your protection....or

It's a Tory money making scam and you get carbon chunks deposited in your arteries so Bill Gates can listen to what you say when on phone and it's those Chinese scientists releasing bio chemical weapons on the west to kill off elderly people in care homes and the very sick as it's a well known military fact that the first to be mobilized are the elderly and chronically sick.

How can you be sure that with these vaccines in our system we are going to face health issues. There is no such certainty. These are speculations.

There is more certainty that if we overdo it with the antibiotics they are not going to be effective later in life.

Or that 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 will get some form of cancer in the future.

But there is no certainty that vaccines will cause people health issues in the future.

At the same time, there is no certainty that we will all get really sock from covid. But I got the vaccine as a precaution.

Do you worry about the number of different things you are exposed to when you:

- Go to different countries on holiday

- Eat food that comes from five hundred different places and contains the DNA of ten thousand different organisms

- Take hundreds of different types of medication throughout your life

- Enter a supermarket and breathe in the air that has passed through two hundred different peoples lungs in the last 24 hours

- Go to a swinging club and touch surfaces that are literally covered with other peoples bodily secretions (yes they do clean everywhere extremely well, but to get _biologically_ clean down to the teeny quantaties of stuff that you get in a vaccination would require napalm).

If you let all this stuff into your system, it's a bit late to worry about something that has been designed by some of the cleverest people on the planet to be utterly free of unforeseen additives, and safety tested on more people than any other consumer product in history.

I had my flu vaccine last Thursday and Covid booster Friday. Apart from feeling a bit tired and sore arms I've had no problems. I know we are all different and if you had bad reactions to flu or covid vaccines in the past I'd ask them if they could give you time between but if you were OK with the others previously you should be fine having them together.

Not sure why as the flu vaccine can be given at the same time as any other vaccine.

They kept flu and covid 2 weeks apart last year as they didn't know the effects of the covid vaccine. If they were given together they wouldn't know which you had reacted to. They now have the data on covid reactions so can give both at the same time.

Being a 'crazy conspiracy theorist' I would suggest that maybe it's in the interest of the big pharmaceutical companies, who are currently making billions out of this situation, to lobby the governments and impress upon them the importance of boosters for a vaccine that, as it turns out, seems to weaken after a certain amount of time.

A wonderful business model, I mean medical breakthrough

Had my Flu jab a week ago Monday and 3rd Covid booster last Thursday. Phizer which is the same as doses 1 and 2. No side effects now or then. No symtoms of any kind in the last 2 years. I know I have been exposed to it but so far, lucky.

To those that doubt the science and what is in the dose - I don't care. I have made a choice to trust the science. I respect those that do not and have avoided the vaccines.

I am prepared for any long time consequences of my actions but I believe that it is better to be vaccinated than risk potential illness.

"So you thought about getting the vaccine? can you tell everyone what's in it? And your answer is you haven't a clue isn't it? Furthermore people who get it have caught covid or think they have based on a flawed testing system!! Is anyone else but me thinking some of us have a bad cold or flu and are just overreacting?"

Nope, it’s just you

outside Llanelli.

I had my booster yesterday being front line and my flu jab at the same time !!!

I had no side effects after 1st & 2nd but woke this morning feeling like I’d been hit by a bus !!

Much better this evening.

But it’s worth to keep myself, patients and family safe

"Had my Flu jab a week ago Monday and 3rd Covid booster last Thursday.

I am prepared for any long time consequences of my actions but I believe that it is better to be vaccinated than risk potential illness."

Me too.

I'm not looking forward to growing 3 heads though next year.

I wonder if all those that are predicting vaccinated folks will be dropping dead within 12-18 months will be back on the forums apologising at the end of next year when it doesn't happen? Nah, me neither.

Nah, they'll be saying they never said 18 months, they said 5 years.

At 5 years they'll say ten years.

Eventually they'll say that it's genetic damage to descendants (unspecified), and make up some garbage to justify it.

"Is there any real need for the booster! "

Had vaccines all my life, diptheria, polio, tetanus, hep a, hep b, yellow fever...

Still here.
