I posted a thread here recently about a relative of mine who I heard had died with covid and she had both jabs.

I've heard the truth now from a family member and it turned out she refused to have the vaccines.

Her husband had them and he is recovering in hospital.

I just thought I would post this, this morning because I don't want to misinform anyone as I think it could contribute towards some people who are deciding to have the vaccine or not.

When I was a kid a neighbour refused to let her son have the polio vaccination. He got polio and although he recovered he's always limped due to the damage caused to his leg but he could have died. Other children who weren't vaccinated never caught polio in part because such a large percentage of the rest of the population were vaccinated. The same will happen with covid, some unvaccinated people will be very ill, suffer long lasting effects or die and some won't.

It's really sad news for you OP, so take it easy and take care of yourself and others who are able to.

It's such a horrible outcome to have. There are others who have been uncertain about the vaccines but this pandemic is so fast moving, that a little delay can mean the difference between things seemingly normal and then having excessive local infection levels and being unlucky, ending in hospital and leaving others behind, as things don't work out well.

Things are bad enough now but winter is going to be worse, in all likelihood. The delay between doses means that the ideal first dose is now, to get some protection during the winter. I hope that more will find other things to be cautious about, such as getting very sick from infection, instead of a little prick.

"Work colleague double jabbed caught it and died .... moral of the story ???? "

The moral of the story is obviously this:

Vaccines are a great tool in the fighting of viral pandemics, they are not however 100% effective, and have a small potential for serious side effects. On the whole they will reduce the net impact of a virus massively, but can't save everyone.

Soooo

4 people in a car

2 are kids under 16

2 are adults.

The primary parent to the kids tests positive on a LFT

Kids and other parent all do LFT, 1 child is positive the other negative

The other parent takes LFT & is negative

All go for a PCR

Primary parent is c-19 positive and so are both kids

Other adult is c-19 negative

All we’re in the car together for 6 hours.

Primary who is double jabbed can go about as normal

Other adult not vaccinated has to self isolate even tho negative

Where is the logic in this?

Interesting how a lot of people who posted on the original thread haven't come back to comment since OP has revised his story. Might make a number of them look rather foolish eh?

I didn't read the original post. It seems you did but rather than add anything constructive to this new one you'd rather stoke division.

Oh the joys of having a keyboard...

Not really fella. A lot of posters came on here to use the OP's post as a way of deriding the vaccine as it was implies that it was the vaccine that killed this poor woman.

That clearly wasn't the case and now those multiple posters are nowhere to be seen as the OP has kindly reposted the correct version of events.

No division intended. I'm merely pointing out the facts that some people like to pick and choose when they wade into a debate to suit their standpoint/agenda.

Have a lovely day.

If it was a fab reader it must have been choking on a knob? Or was it a chocolate finger?
