Anyone not getting jabbed?

Anyone not doing it at all or at least for a long time because of these side effects?

(I am not looking for anyone to attack me for this question, just wondering, like personal choice)

I would imagine many won't respond for fear of being labelled and vilified. I smell the wolves circling already.

What side effects are you referring too?

Mild ones?

Rare blood clots (which also happen if you catch covid)?

I’ll definately not have the vax - Duo. Jucy (Mrs) has had both vax (Due to working on the front line) and had significant side affects which are on-going and doctors are stumped.

One of several cases amongst our small group of friends.

Docs are stumped by my ongoing side effects too. Single jabbed although I really wish I hadn't!

Will not be getting for at least 3-5 years.

Even after - will heavily depend on known long term side effects.

This, though maybe not quite a stretch

I'd love to know what the long term plan is before signing up to something

Will I need booster's? If so is it annual? Will this be NHS funded? If certain groups don't need booster's what's the reason for that?

Once a solid plan is in place and I know what I'm getting I'll make an informed choice

Though these are my reasons and if others want to get vaxxed or not, it's not my business and each to their own

I've had ally other vaccines (plus some extra when I've done trial's with companies) so I'm not anti Vax in the traditional sense

I'm not having. No way I'm risking possible debilitating side effects for something I already have natural immunity to and his extremely unlikely to have any serious effects on me.

There are some side effects and yes some are rare

There is a higher risk of developing a blood clot from the contraception pill than there is from the jab (Blood clot risks: comparing the AstraZeneca vaccine and the contraceptive pil)

But many take the pill woth little side effects

There has been substantial research done on the jabs.this was done as the financial restriction usually given to research was lifted (Oxford research group 2020) meaning they had 100 times the money they usually had and meant more research could take place. They also had already started developing a vaccine for SARS-Cov, due to sars-cov1 outbreak 2 years earlier….hope this helps?

Had both jabs, first, a little tired for 24hrs, second a slight sore arm for a day! I PERSONALLY figure any side effects from jabs are far less than the very real possibilities of getting very sick or

having a not so nice death from the virus! Just my opinion!

Indeed.

In my ‘small’ immediate family (9) there have been 3 with serious side effects one of those are still in hospital unable to walk or feed themselves. So I do feel it is all about your own experience.

Personally think everyone should have been given an antibody test prior to been given the vacinnes.

We are part of trials been carried out by ONS. We get swabbed every 4 weeks and have recently been asked to have antibody tests.

We don't know if Hubster's antibodies are natural or from the jab he had in April. He had Covid last October and we're also quite sure he had it last April, but people weren't been tested then.

His workplace has 8 people who have tested positive in the last two weeks and they have all been double jabbed, some of them are quite poorly.

I don't have any antibodies.

I would like to know that too.

We know dozens of people that have had both shots and all the different types of vaccines available and none of them have had anything more serious than a headache or aching arm but a friend who refuses the vaccine apparently knows several people who have died from having the vaccine.

Scientific facts....or..

Cut and paste something to reinforce your bias and try to belittle anyone who should dare disagree with your point of view, especially using the biggest words you can find or the longest cut and paste as it's a well known fact the bigger the statement the more weight it holds.

Good job they don't do any real research.

These people I know; you mean my Nan, my bloody dad and my younger sister. I’m sorry I totally understand that the % of random strangers is more important to you but I’m afraid my family are more important to me.

And I also didn’t say that I was against the vaccine because of this. All of those family members knew the risks as did we and it didn’t deter having the vaccine. I’m simply trying to point out that some people have personal experiences that may be putting them off and people saying “oooh all I had was a fuzzy arm” doesn’t help when you’re spoon feeding your relative. But yeah thanks appreciate the sentiment!

Don’t get me wrong the doctors have been amazing. They advised one of my siblings (who hadn’t had any jabs at that point) not to have it just yet and they are investigating which is really great considering how busy they are.

I just find it soul destroying when people disregard others actual experiences or even call them liars. (I’ve been called a liar before now) It’s quite scary what’s happened to humanity. I think the problem comes that people who are fundamentally against vaccination will make out they know loads of people who have had a serious affects but never Elaborate on them or pull quotes and "facts" from unreliable sources.

I'm absolutely certain there are people that have unfortunately suffered serious consequences as a result of having the vaccine and I think there is just fear and anger on both sides.

Exactly this. I genuinely don't know the numbers of complications from those vaccinated as I haven't seen any official figures, but it seems from reading numerous COVID related threads on Fab that every other person knows someone who has been affected for life. I'm not buying it that all of those claims are true and that some aren't using it to push a certain viewpoint across.

2 out of my 3 have been told not to have their second. (The third already had the two jabs)

So it looks like we’re just really unlucky

Unfortunately I think you have been. I'm sure I saw somebody else post saying that it happened to 3 members of their family and they were currently involved in the trial to see whether their was a genetic reason for this. Maybe worth looking into.

We seem to be out to rip each other apart rather than supporting each other through some very uncertain and worrying times. It’s a shame.

I totally understand that.

I'm not buying it that all of those claims are true and that some aren't using it to push a certain viewpoint across."

That's my stance but I can also understand were she is coming from, it must be exceptionally difficult if you are a member of the family of somebody who has in deeply affected. It's like anything now you will always get people that will jump on the bandwagon but it must be so upsetting if you are caught up in that.

I agree. I’m definitely not against the vaccine at all but again this is the impression people get when I explain what happened to my lot. Definitely supportive of it. I even encouraged my fella to have his. It’s just sad isn’t it.

I'd like to know if there is a correlation between those who have had bad side effects from the jab and those who would have had same bad reaction to covid?

Given the broad range of reactions to both, there must be something triggering the more serious outcomes and I wonder if its mutual to the jabs and virus.

Yes but it’s worth being mindful before reacting to a comment are they actually pushing an agenda?

My comment definitely was not pushing any agenda. My comment was simply trying to defend the people who may not want it for one of these reasons and are not antivax. Not everyone fits into one of those boxes.

Neither do I. But my unvaxxed cousin was hospitalised with it. He’s 36 (yes he’s a bit fat) but otherwise healthy. So I’m definitely not a denier. Or nurses and doctors to care for them...

Is a good job I am not a doctor or nurse..If I had a unvaxd patient begging for the vaccine I would probably say something they wouldn't like to hear."

What would you say then to the person suffering the effects of vaccination complications?

"Anyone not doing it at all or at least for a long time because of these side effects?

(I am not looking for anyone to attack me for this question, just wondering, like personal choice)"

You have to ask the question?

It’s fairly straightforward, around 90% of those offered are having it...

The remainder is a mix of those unable to have it, a small minority of people who are influenced by the various conspiracy theories etc or a very small percentage of people who believe their insight into medical science is greater than those who’ve spent their life in it.

We had a similar situation with my partner, he was a shielder and basically told he would be seriously ill if he got covid but he was asymptomatic and we only knew he had it because I had tested positive and they advised because of his health he should test to. I'm also in the high risk group and had worse colds to be honest, how ever my fit and healthy 40 year old best friend was seriously ill and hospitalised.

To be honest I think none of us really know our risk until we get it so unless advised by medical professionals people should get the vaccination but I do understand people in your situation being concerned.

Nope, neither of us are! This virus has a 98% survival rate. The vaccine doesn't stope you catching it, passing it on, getting seriously ill or dying, so as far as I'm concerned it's a waste of money. It's all about these pharma companies making money!!

Yes this virus doesn’t seem to discriminate at all. I’m not concerned anymore. So many other people I know have had it with no problems at all, I just tried to use my example to explain why some people may be nervous.

Some people are 5G blaming crazies but some people are just genuinely concerned with good reason.

You are wrong on the last part it absolutely does lessen your chances of getting seriously ill and dying the very fact more people are in hospital who have been unvaccinated makes that very clear.

Nope not a chance well at least for about 5 years at least

Have any of you actually looked into m-rna vaccines?

They were made in about 1995 and they have been trying to get them approved for human trials since then but always been refused because they wont work on animals and you arent allowed to start testing on humans without previous animal trials so in theory people are correct giving this jab out is againt the nuremberg code and againts the law

Why doesnt anybody have liability for anything it may cause this alone should ring massive alarm bells

Not exactly, I know no one works where I do to know this, but 2 women at our work have had some bad reactions after 2nd dose, pernament but they're not getting worse now, just have to live with it now but yeah they do regret it

My large family/friends/work colleagues all been double jabbed and not one had any serious side effects. All had very minor side effects such as sore arm, mild flu like symptoms, but all subsided within a day or so. Hope that helps.

It probably doesn't if your one of the people suffering from long term side effects from the vaccine.

I agree.

Years of data will be needed but with over 3 billion people nearly half the worlds population using sputnik v we will only get half the story and a missmatch of data from a missmatch of vaccines and no real answers.

I was in hospital Xmas and I was told by the consultant that blood clots on the lungs were a result of having Covid. I had 6 bilateral blood clots on my lungs at the time. No markers for Covid were found in my blood but I’m sure I had it November before we had lockdown.

No one has any right to judge anyone as to why they choose to have the jab or not.

Some might say if your vulnerable then you should have it others that you shouldn’t because if you have a bad reaction your less likely to survive.

This virius has had an devastating effect on people’s life let’s not turn on each other to make the situation even worse. X Be safe & happy

I know of a few people who have been double vaccinated, went on to catch covid and ended up seriously ill. I also know of at least 2 who were double jabbed and died after catching it, so no, I'd doesn't necessarily reduce the risks. Not to mention side effects, which have been mentioned on here and also on other posts...

As far as im aware first person i know of to have it was in 2018 november/december time thought he had pneumonia and was almost put on ventilation

Ive not been furloughed or off work knew nobody that had a dose since it all started till people started getting vaccinated now everybody i know is getting it

Also what about the information thats come out that having the virus gives you better long lasting protection in your immune system than the virus the jabs just protects the person thats had it doesnt stop spread

So id rather take my chances

If its my time its my time

Im ready when fate decides anyway but im no quitter

Will hang on unvaccinated for a few years, thankfully no one is telling me: no jab, no job. If I was to be told by my employer I have to get it, I would go find work elsewhere. I am choosing to for go travel for a few years till I can see what long term effects these trail vaccines have and then I will choose to either have it or not.

I couldn't give a rats ass who labels me antivax, I have my own mind and not going to stick my arm out, because of some silly label. There has been serious side effects in the past, of other drugs and even vaccines. So to think that these vaccines are one size fits all and totally safe for everyone, is a bit of a push.

I don't understand people who say just get the jab and if you don't you shouldn't be treated if you catch the virus. If yous are jabbed, well then you should be protected from it and it shouldn't matter who has not been. Otherwise if you still think they are so dangerous to your safety, maybe your still not sure it is as safe as you think????

Stroke and blood clots (but I believe the former can be caused by the latter?) so blood related issues it would seem. Just waiting really for my dad to have more tests because it’s his doctor who’s investigating and keeping an eye on him. So I’m very grateful for that.

From the land of haribos.

"Nope, neither of us are! This virus has a 98% survival rate. The vaccine doesn't stope you catching it, passing it on, getting seriously ill or dying, so as far as I'm concerned it's a waste of money. It's all about these pharma companies making money!!

You are wrong on the last part it absolutely does lessen your chances of getting seriously ill and dying the very fact more people are in hospital who have been unvaccinated makes that very clear.

I dont agree people should be denied medical treatment if they refuse a vaccine however I do wonder how many of the people that refuse to take the so called experimental vaccine would except an experimental drug that would save their life if they caught it.

Would take the 2 drugs Trump was on about last year, quicker than any experimental drugs.

Ok, based on your theory, let's look at the flu vaccine..... How many people get admitted to NHS hospitals every single year, or die as a result of it (except 2020) yet the flu vaccine isn't being forced on everyone??

"What side effects are you referring too?

Mild ones?

Rare blood clots (which also happen if you catch covid)?

Not exactly, I know no one works where I do to know this, but 2 women at our work have had some bad reactions after 2nd dose, pernament but they're not getting worse now, just have to live with it now but yeah they do regret it

My large family/friends/work colleagues all been double jabbed and not one had any serious side effects. All had very minor side effects such as sore arm, mild flu like symptoms, but all subsided within a day or so. Hope that helps.

It probably doesn't if your one of the people suffering from long term side effects from the vaccine.

Indeed.

In my ‘small’ immediate family (9) there have been 3 with serious side effects one of those are still in hospital unable to walk or feed themselves. So I do feel it is all about your own experience.

Sorry to hear that, hope they make a speedy recovery. Are the side effects the 3 have the same?

Stroke and blood clots (but I believe the former can be caused by the latter?) so blood related issues it would seem. Just waiting really for my dad to have more tests because it’s his doctor who’s investigating and keeping an eye on him. So I’m very grateful for that. "

Like i said, speedy recovery. Sorry if my original comment come across as insensitive, wasn't my intention just genuinely dont know of anyone who had had long term effects.

Because it costs £26 a pop whereas the astra is cost price. Also bearing in mind Pfizer are the same company that were responsible for the thalidomide scandal...

(I am not looking for anyone to attack me for this question, just wondering, like personal choice)"

Why are you asking this question, ..... research to make your own decision or feeding off the inflammation caused by sides positioning?

Thats absolutely not true!

Thalidomide is a drug that was developed in the 1950s by the West German pharmaceutical company Chemie Grünenthal GmbH

Ditto. I know of people who have died because of Covid I know nobody who has had anything worse than a couple of days mild flu like side effects from having been vaccinated.

I would like to know this too I have done a little bit of research and the only links I can find is in the last 20 years the 2 companies have collaborated on a couple of things together but this vaccine is not one of them and certainly Pfizer had nothing to do with Thalidomide.

It is being forced!! If we don't have the vaccine we're being called selfish, up our own arses etc. Before anyone calls me an "anti-vaxxer" my daughter is 13 and she can make up her own mind if she wants to get it. If she chooses to get it then I will happily sign the consent form. I've sent her links regarding side effects etc and after reading them if she still decides to go ahead then I will support that, but to tell me I can't go to a club, _estival, concert, the theatre etc because I haven't had it is forcing it!!

I always wonder in these cases where there is a severe reaction to the small element of the covid virus in the vaccine what would have happened if those folk had got the full blown virus? Perhaps they would not live to find out.

Simple reason is normally because a lot of the people that are now refusing the vaccine are coming up with crazy rubbish and some of them have even started telling the vaccinated they're going to die.

I have absolutely no problem with somebody that does not want to have the jab, I have a big issue with people that choose not to have it then starts screaming discrimination because they may not be able to go to a theatre or club.

I have absolutely no problem with somebody that does not want to have the jab, I have a big issue with people that choose not to have it then starts screaming discrimination because they may not be able to go to a theatre or club. so there behaving a bit like the poster who thinks if your unjabbed and catch covid your going to end up in hospital, there are drama queens on both sides of the argument, personly know at least a dozen people who aint getting jabbed and there not telling people there going to die or calling anyone sheep, they couldnt give a shit if someones had there jab,and surprise surprise w

E havent fallen out with each other because freedom of choice and all that"

I agree and I have also have friends who do not want the vaccine and I completely respect their decision, I may not agree with their reasoning but they except there may be consequences and they are happy with that.

"I wonder how many people refusing to get jabbed will rely on the NHS when they catch Covid...just a thought

Ok, based on your theory, let's look at the flu vaccine..... How many people get admitted to NHS hospitals every single year, or die as a result of it (except 2020) yet the flu vaccine isn't being forced on everyone??

Neither is the covid vaccine. People just don't like the fact they are now in a minority and their choice may have consequences.

It is being forced!! If we don't have the vaccine we're being called selfish, up our own arses etc. Before anyone calls me an "anti-vaxxer" my daughter is 13 and she can make up her own mind if she wants to get it. If she chooses to get it then I will happily sign the consent form. I've sent her links regarding side effects etc and after reading them if she still decides to go ahead then I will support that, but to tell me I can't go to a club, _estival, concert, the theatre etc because I haven't had it is forcing it!! rubbish. Want to drive a car? Get a license. Want to go to a club? Get a jag. Nobody is forcing you to do anything

Want to keep your job or go on holiday, get jabbed. And this isn't forcing people????

Want to go abroad get a passport, Want to keep your job follow company guidelines and rules and working requirements. That has always been the case so again tell me how that is discrimination?

"

Tell me what other vaccine or other medical treatment in the past has prevented you from travel or at risk of losing you job, because you didn't want to take it.

Somebody calling you selfish is enough to force you to have a vaccine? I'm sorry but you clearly dont understand the meaning of the word forced if you genuinely think you are being forced.

OK, I'll word it differently. You get abuse, discriminated against, of course people are going to feel forced!!

Feeling forced and being forced are two different things.

You have not been discriminated against for not having a vaccine! try being disabled for one day then tell me about discrimination!"

Plenty.

But again please tell me how your choice not to have a vaccine and then being restricted on certain things is discrimination?

Fair enough, I sort of lost on that point. But never to the extent of losing such things like now.

Most people I know only got the vaccine so they could travel, go to a pub or a restaurant, not because they were in fear of catching or dying from covid. I know a few people and relatives who have had covid and most said it was mild enough, only one suffered with long covid and is refusing to get the jab, still.

Yes, you have been vaccinated for no reason! "

is this your professional medical opinion because that is a highly dangerous comment to make.

Our choice is not our own, if it puts them at risk, even though they trust the sCiEnCe.

All logic has been left back in 2019, governments and corporations are changing the rules as they go along. We were told it wouldn't be mandated on us, but stripping us of certain rights is just as bad as mandating it.

Seeing as 8 in 10 of those 16 to 18 have had a least one vaccine I don't see it being a big issue.

Your choice is not a discrimination, I have chosen not to get a driving licence so am i being discriminated against because I can't drive a car and can't have certain jobs because I have chosen not to learn to drive?

What rights have you been stripped of? Going to a sporting venue or recreation venue is not a right. Neither is travelling to another country and almost every ticket you ever buy or business you enter will have a clause that says they can refuse entry for any reason.

Taking a vaccine is a wholly personal choice it’s your body and you do as you like.

In the same thought it’s an entirely personal choice of any business or service to not serve you if you don’t get vaccinated.

You can’t have it all ways. You either want freedom of choice or not. You can’t have freedom of choice when it suits.

You have not been discriminated against for not having a vaccine! try being disabled for one day then tell me about discrimination!

I have been discriminated against due to a disability, so don't try to throw that one in!

Then you should know better and You are still to tell me how you have big discriminated against because you have chosen not to have a vaccine.

The vaccine is supposed to be a choice, yet here we are being told that if we don't have the vaccine we can't do certain things!!! How many people under the age of 18 have part time jobs in hospitality, at football grounds and various other places who aren't double vaccinated, will they still be able to retain their jobs??

Our choice is not our own, if it puts them at risk, even though they trust the sCiEnCe.

All logic has been left back in 2019, governments and corporations are changing the rules as they go along. We were told it wouldn't be mandated on us, but stripping us of certain rights is just as bad as mandating it. What rights are being stripped?"

I voted for abortion, even though I don't 100 percent agree with it in all cases, but it ain't my body or chose. Yet it seems by some peoples views, I shouldn't be seen to in a hospital, fired from a job or not allowed to travel, because I am not ready to choose to have a vaccine!!!

Who is stopping your freedom of speech? You can say what you like I don't have to agree with it. You have never had freedom of movement none of us have, not in the true sense of the word. Any country could refuse you entry for any reason it choose. And you absolutely have freedom of choice but with every choice comes consequences it seems to me You want to take away of the people's choices about who they have on their premises. Choice works both ways.

the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, sex, or disability.

What about the real anti vax people that are not vaccinating their kids from anything shouldnt they be being forced?

Should they not be stopped from going places because they may catch or spread polio or smallpox??

Why so much venom for people who dont want it? Considering flu has killed more than covid this year should we be being forced to have a flu jab too?

I think all the people being so aggressive about it and inboxing etc just feel stupid for being duped into something they dont need so now everyone has to have it

To this I would say that the down to earth people realize that the Pharmaceutical companies are businesses and they are there to make money. If they do not really care it is not much of a issue for me, all I care is that they come up with some vaccines and medications that work. If they were caring they would have come up woth some medications for very rare conditions but I accept that they do not because they are not charities, they are businesses.

You have unrealistic expectations about the pharmaceutical businesses. They are around to make bucks as many other businesses. But this does not mean that they are necessarily unethical.

no. Saying it saves lives when it doesn't is unethical, branding it to make money is business. Same with any item. You really think the trainers that Nike churn out are worth £150 without the swoosh?

What?! On what planet has flu killed more than covid? In a bad year there's roughly 30,000 deaths from flu. There's been 5x that in 18 months with covid

Speaking about Whitty, I think he is more worried about what Nicki Minaj tweeted to her 22 million followers:

'My cousin in Trinidad won't get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you're comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.'

Sounds so crazy but for sure some sceptics will believe it.
