Look up Italy virus date, you’ll find the info based on cancer sample studies Sept 19-March 20.

Pneumonia can be triggered by many things and is regularly a symptom of Covid.

I still like that it escaped from a bio lab that was researching it

But I think it probably came from a animal a long time ago and has been evolving into the virus strain that was first detected, it could have been slowly ticking over in humans for absolutely ages until one roll of the dice provided a mutation that is slightly more dangerous to humans and essentially exposed it to the world, I believe there has been a study on historical blood samples taken to see if any covid-19 material can be found

Interestingly enough not one of them has ever caught covid which statistically you would think unlikely especially as in a couple of cases members of their family did get it and they had to isolate in the same house as them.

I’ve no idea where it came from because I’m no virus expert but the explanation it came from a Chinese market where someone ate a bat seems reasonable to me.

It would be hilarious if it came from Portugal or Spain, or somewhere like that though. There would be a huge amount of ‘I’m not racist but…’ folk who’d have to eat some humble pie.

Either occurring though contact in the wild or leaked from a lab researching such viruses.

Similar cross overs happen every single day and lab leaks occasionally but fortunately most don’t become a pandemic

I don't think we are ever going to know the full and honest truth.

There are so many "experts" on this and other social forums who claim to "know" the exact details of where Covid originated. Add to that all the conspiracy theories pushed out by the anti-goverment press and these "experts" are falling over themselves to push out the latest ideas which they "know" to be a fact!

I don't claim to know the ABSOLUTE truth but I believe, backed by my understanding of the science that the laboratory in Wuhan was possibly investigating this virus which was evolving in chickens and the human variant. Due to ineffective controls it escaped into the human population.

Because human life in parts of China is valued far less than in the UK the initial deaths were not seen as significant. Add to this typical Chinese government secrecy and within weeks the situation was out of control. Dial in a further 9 months before the various vaccines became available and we had a world wide situation which was out of control. I believe, here in the UK, we have got it substantially under control but all it needs is a fresh variant to break out and we are back to square one.

We have been "double jabbed" and as a result feel slightly more relaxed but we will still wear our masks, wash our hands and keep our distance from strangers.

5 years ago I caught a virus that lasted 4 months. The symptoms. Severe cough for most of that time couldnt lay down. My head nearly exploded because of it. Sore throat that wouldn't go away. After 2 months I lost my taste and smell which really hasn't returned . I had 3 visits to the doctor who would not prescribe antibiotics as they wnt for a viral infection. This started November and lasted till February. Eventually I got treatment but I swear then it was the same as COVID but who knows.

It came from the Wuhan institute of virology who Anthony Fauci payed (with tax payers money) to research gain of function on bat viruses.

This means adapting them to infect humans. This all came out when he was questioned in hearings by senator Rand Paul.

That it escaped by accident is the only remaining pretence.

Novel coronaviruses are present all across the world and in many different species. The strain in question was identified in 2019 (hence COronaVIrus Disesase-19…and not “certificate of vaccination ID” that some…people…have claimed). The Covid-19 strain was virulent and highly transmissible to and between humans, that’s what is so dangerous about it. There are other strains. My bro-in-law’s gf got one after visiting Vietnam in 2018 but it wasn’t as virulent or transmissible hence no one was that bothered.

It’s not unusual for labs to investigate “gain of function”. If a strange, novel virus crops up samples are routinely sent to labs across the world to investigate GOF to see how of a threat they are to us. They are investigated to see how easy or likely it is the virus might mutate into a form that is virulent and transmissible.

Now you’re just being insulting.

Where does your info come from? That’s right, you found it on the internet and fell for it hook, line and sinker without any evidence to back it up apart from weird rumours. Where did you hear it from? Alex Jones? Joe Rogan? David Icke? Are there lizard people after you? Is Harry Potter a ploy to get kids worshipping the devil?

For someone calling others sheep you seemed to have swallowed all sorts of crap and believed it blindly without any fact-checking.

Are you one of those people that think that vaccinated people, “shed DNA” and “infect” others with vaccinated dna?

There was a particularly bad cold/flu virus going around during winter’19. Two friends had it and were bed-ridden for a week, felt better then got worse again before finally clearing it. When Covid antibody tests became available they each took one thinking they’d show as positive but they didn’t.

I had a really bad cold (fine one day, able to move the next) February ‘20 that at one point I assumed was covid but my antibody tests also came back negative. I’m not downplaying anyone’s experiences but not everything is covid.

With hundreds of potential virus threats existing in animal species that we know of, the common sense probability is that it crossed over to humans, partly spurred on by our massive disruption to and lack of respect, for the natural world. We're fortunate that worse hasn't happened before now.

We know that there are risks but seemingly don't care enough. We could invest tons of energy into trying to find out but are better to invest in greater protection for all of the life that we share the planet with.

It came from bullshit not bats. Or the narrative on how dangerous and virulent is and the so called helpful methods to keep one safe we’re certainly grown in the mulch of that. All whilst pushing were following “the” science, funny how others in professional fields became conspiracy theorists or miss informers regardless of the science they followed.

I buy a lot of stock from China. I’m not speculating on any causes for delays, but my monthly consignments coming from China started to be disrupted and delayed in October 2019 until finally being stopped in mid January. Things haven’t really got back to normal since.

Prices have risen, shipping costs gone through the roof, 2-3 month delays are common now.

The world has changed.

Reasonable or unreasonable? Because if you mean reasonable and aren't just taking the piss, you've just said the very same thing that in your next paragraph you attribute to the "I'm not racist but" folk??

I honestly believe it is just a mutation from other SARS related viruses. But because of the way it mutated it jumped several stages and we didn’t have the right immune system to deal with it.

I'm almost convinced that I had it in September 2019 in Kent... Well, I had a madly weird virus then anyway, which zapped my energy and gave me a non-productive cough that lasted for weeks. If it wasn't Covid then it was pretty similar...

Like some others above here, I think it may have naturally mutated among humans for a while before it was first detected and named in China.

"Yup it was confirmed in Wuhan on 31st December 2019 that 3 people had it but they also had chronic pneumonia.

Who knows but Italy believe it was in their country from September 2019

Really...now it's getting interesting... Thanks for that

Look up Italy virus date, you’ll find the info based on cancer sample studies Sept 19-March 20. "

I do believe it was doing the rounds before we all got to know about it in Feb/Mar 2020. I came back from an international conference in Vienna at the end of August 2019 with the worst flu I'd had in years. I was like is this what bird flu feels like?

I doubt we will ever get to know but it would be amazing if say historical samples from that period could be analyzed to determine whether and when this had actually started circulating.

I have read similar that a lot of people were exposed to a milder version of covid19 that winter so many potentially already developed immunity early on. But the absence of antibody testing early on in the pandemic means we will never really know.

Just my opinion. We havent seen a massiv outbreak in animals so the idea that this came from animals dosent add up.and we all know that labs take an ordinary virus like the cold and mess with it to make it bigger and badder .so it seems to add up better if this was a man made super cold

Big unknown eh?

If it was about in early 2019 then it's a brilliant coincidence that it took off in Wuhan of all places.

I used to write off the Italy cases as it felt strange that given how fast the 2020 cases grew from just a few seeds, that it could have been bubbling around before then.

However given mutations maybe a less transmissible version was about and it mutated in China.

Which puts pay to all evidence supporting the bat eating, wet market theories. It was already out there somehow. Anyones guess is as good as any. It also puts pay to the Wuhan lab. Just a lovely coincidence.

I'm too lazy to look but I wonder if any non Europeans had early 2019 cases?

I'm still leaning towards it being related to the lab.

I never belived the bat narrative that they came out with first, my initial thought was that it started in a lab which later could be proven right too as one from the lab told the media that "accidents happens". I dont think that this will be the end of it as more and more will surface. I also believe that the rockefellow foundation is hugely involved too.

Shouldn't worry about it.

With China expanding its influence and challenging the USA at every chance, along with the high likelihood of Taiwan being re-claimed in the near future, a virus is going to be a small problem.

Future scenarios' are many, but start with a USA/China conflict, probably over China attacking USA ships as they transit near Taiwan. If China attacks a carrier it will certainly start a full-blown war.

Any conflict between the USA and China has a high potential for going nuclear.

There are lots of coronaviruses so no reason why you couldn't have caught one of those in 2019. Whether it was covid 19 seems unlikely without a definitive test.

"2019 sorry auto correct on tablet

2 of my friends reckon they had it here in Ireland in December 2019...They had all the symptoms before Covid was even known about or announced.

I think I had it Dec 2019 I was in bed for a week, chesty cough, aching all over, I couldn't even open my eyes for 4 days. I've never felt that bad before. Mrs M relocated to the front room for a week.

My friend suffered the same symptoms early January 2020.

I’m not downplaying anyone’s experiences but not everything is covid."

Similar was working over in NI and came back for a quick visit in November and lots of family loaded with the flu. I return to NI and didn't have anything more than a blocked up nose and temp for a couple of days. The family back here still had it right up and through Christmas.

Only anecdotal evidence and not back up with any testing evidence so it could be flu or maybe that was the first wave. We will never know.

You presumably know that that's not correct. You've conflated several disparate things, put them together as facts and linked that to governments not telling citizens everything.

It's standard for governments to share selectively - some are less trustworthy than others.

But your fact salad mixing is helping nothing

I suspect it came (accidentally) from lab in Wuhan.

I don't believe anyone had it in 2019. Last summer pretty much every other person I spoke to reckoned they'd had it in December/January when in retrospect they clearly hadn't. The rate of transmission is way too high for there to have been the isolated cases that people are claiming.

It started in Wuhan.

You're aware that China isn't 1 of the most open, democratic countries in the world?

And that WHO have been to China, including at the lab, as part of their investigations?

If they can't guarantee where it was from, it's sure as hell that you cannot.

In any event, knowing doesn't help us to deal with it intelligently. Nor ensure that any of the hundreds of other animal viruses that exist in nature and could potentially cause us even worse problems, are problems that we prevent.

It's too easy to ignore the massive damage that we're doing to the to the natural world, that's causing us to disrupt viruses protective barriers from us, by opting to blame a bogeyman instead, the lab. We don't want the uncomfortable answers

Autumn/winter are the natural times for a large range of respiratory infections that we catch. Some years are worse than others and some viruses are more prevalent in some years too. It would generally be abnormal not to have them circulating. Our selective attention biases push us to revise the history that we've known.

I believe it was engineered in a lab to infect human cells in a study and then leaked to a worker who is patient zero then spread like wildfire, doing what it was meant to do. I don’t buy it jumping from an animal as nothing similar has been found in that market they blamed it on or infact the wild, surely species that was the go between would be rife with it. That lab also stated they don’t keep live bats either but their own paper work from like 2018 stated they do/did. I also find it hard to believe when you look at China’s death toll/cases vs smaller countries....it’s laughable. Someone’s telling fibs

It’s a shit storm that’s changed the world and it originated in China …… definitely lab not a wet market as previously thought. Hold on tight it’s still going to be a bumpy road. JM x

For me, the evidence against it (in the Wuhan form) being around before Dec 2019 is that, while there are lots of people saying they had it, there seems to be noone saying they know of any deaths. That suggests it's not quite the same disease (maybe Wuhan was a mutation? Maybe it was just a bad flu also doing the rounds?)

Sadly, Covid is causing a few patients to have panic attacks post jabs.

Panic attacks are generally harmless but terrifying for the folks during an episode.

It's probably the closest to a coronary as the real thing.

Some you speak to later have often commented on "things they saw on Facebook, internet, friends comments etc etc.

It's sad to see.

and why didn't it spread in wherever those places were in the same way that it has ever since?

It came from Wuhan, most likely from a lab.

Anything else is an attempt to distract from the shit storm that would be caused if a Wuhan leak could be proved (which it likely never will).

They actually did a gene analysis of the original b1 strain in the first beginnings, it showed it's likely inception to the world was between August and September 2019(it's not foolproof but it's quite reliable normally) the Barcelona authority have samples of sewage contaminated with sars-cov2 from April 2019 however it's still not positive the samples were not contaminated on testing, secret intelligence has shown strange comings and goings at the Wuhan lab around early September with personal files removed and employees visiting hospitals.

The b1 Wuhan strain (were still not absolutely sure this is the original) has been shown to be about 400% less infectious as the current Delta which means spread would have happened far far slower, from an evolutionary perspective it was strange that it liked indoors but not out, that it could infect different species from the get go and that it could jump to airborne straight away.

Occams razor would conclude here's a lab doing gain of function on bat Corona viruses, it's already been pulled up four times on its safety practices and right next door there's an outbreak of a new Corona virus with bat origins???.

You could come up with a plausible solution to why it wasn't them but you'd have to work hard at it.

The easiest answer is usually always the right one.

The first case detected here was early February by late march early April it hit peak cases, Delta took longer to be established and it's roughly 400 times more infectious.

The odds are that sars-cov2 had been here far longer than we think, going off infectious times alone we'd conclude sometime around early December late November.

My understanding is that it originated in animals in Chinese wet markets (Wuhan being the main one)... possibly from Bats caught in caves in a different region of China and taken to the wet markets where the virus jumped species into humans.

I suspect the virus has been travelling the world in smaller numbers well before March 2020... a guy in Paris had something in Dec 2019... kept his blood test which was taken at the time... which was tested for covid a few months later out of interest and yep it was covid. He lived close to Charles de Gaulle airport... and frequented cafes around it...

I believe Italian antibody tests show it in October.

Hard to know for sure, but I've heard that the lineage shows a big change around the time of the market superspreader event. There's an alpha lineage before that, but very little of it, and the market onwards is the beta lineage. (not to be confused with variants of the same name - this is all the "ancestral virus")

If a Wuhan lab leak was proved then the rest of the world would be obliged to demand reparations from China.

China is so powerful that we would be afraid to make that challenge.

So maybe governments already know the cause but won't admit it

"Garunteed escaped from Wuhan Labs. UN wanted to investigate but China denied access, what do they have to hide?

We don't want the uncomfortable answers "

I didn’t say I knew where it’s from. Also didn’t say it couldn’t have come from animals etc. We know what’s reported in which first cases were found in China

This seems very likely to me.

If it was something they genuinely knew nothing about you'd have thought they'd be a fair bit more open to inviting help in to figure it out with the initial outbreak.

"I believe it was engineered in a lab to infect human cells in a study and then leaked to a worker who is patient zero then spread like wildfire, doing what it was meant to do. Someone’s telling fibs "

China is a large country and it isn't the most open, nor democratic. To investigate many widely distributed wild animal species, when there are higher priorities, including the virus, would take significant resources and couldn't easily find a definitive answer.

People are just throwing out their thoughts, rather than thinking more rationally IMO.

I had a really bad case of pnemonia in jan 2018 which I think might have been covid.

Was off work for a month. Had 2 weeks of anti biotics, 2nd week was 2 types of anti biotics.

Could not walk up the stairs without stopping half way. Woke up one night to go to the toilet and fainted due to lack of oxygen.

Had a blood test but didnt get to hear the result.

2 of my friends reckon they had it here in Ireland in December 2019...They had all the symptoms before Covid was even known about or announced "

I used to work in a popular tourist place that had bus loads of Chinese tourists coming through it every hour, every single day.

Had a very bad cold that lasted between mid November 2019 and mid December 2019. Temperature went up and down, continious mild cough, lost my taste and smell for about a week.

I do believe that I had covid back in 2019.

Tested positive just a few weeks ago too. Completely different experience. Was more acute but lasted only just over a week and wasn't as harsh.

Not gonna put any tin foil hats on , but judging by the amount of public interviews from very influential public figures prior to this talking about upcoming pandemic and pure "convenience" of a virus killing off mostly old and unfit while mostly harmless to children and fit people, it genuinely makes you wonder...

"Hi, So what do people think caused Covid???

I know what I think & I've heard 2 rumours...I'd greatly appreciate peoples opinions & it's origin & cause"

We don't know do we, but apparently there's more than 1000 labs around the world researching these kind of viruses. Many of them for biological warfare. You don't have to look round in history for long to figure that in secret some people are up to some really dangerous and dodgy stuff.

That phrase 'accidents happen' is an understatement. Big and small they happen constantly. If there's tens of thousands of people working in these labs, for decades, it's only a matter of time before there's an 'accident', or an on purpose!

Rich and powerful people have gotten a lot richer and grasped a lot more power recently. I lean towards lab made theory. That said, nature has a way of controlling out of control species populations so maybe...

To be fair, any illness is likely to affect the ill, unhealthy, and elderly more than the young fit and healthy... it's really obvious.

I personally think that the virus has started in Wuhan China as we've been lead to believe. It is fairly normal for viruses to be about for a while before they get traction. It is equally possible the there were weaker/less virulent strains about before "The Big One" started the mass infections leading to the pandemic.

Probably a leak from the Wuhan lab.

They likely didn't report it immediately

CCP probably did the same before alerting WHO

By then people had traveled and the virus had spread

It's a high infection, low mortality virus. You can carry it with mild symptoms so you wouldn't think you were severely ill

Just plain old human error

literally. a huge cock up.

a lab studying and playing with mers-cov & SARS-cov and other research including gain of function research trying to find out if the spike proteins in mers could be combined with sars to make a new virus that allowed transmission to humans could never have been the source of the virus.......
