The gov is now to jab the young as they say the young are spreding it

Lets look back on this.

In the begining it was the old spreding it and the young couldent get it.

The old were jabd.

Then it was the midel aged spreding it the young couldent get covid.

Then it was the un jabd spreding it and the young couldent get it.

Now most of the countrys jabd and numbers are still rising so the gov say its the kids spreding it.

When the kids have all been jabd and the numbers are still going up and the whole countrys been double jabd and covid is still spreding .

Do you think the gove will blame some other section for infecting everyone whos been jabd.

Or do you think the gove will finaly confess it carnt be cured like the comon cold and the jab is just a placeebo since the covid changes too quickly and one jab carnt cure all

Do you honestly think the vaccines are just placebos? Please tell me you don't.

It's the world's worst placebo, that's for sure.

Also, I've never seen anyone, other than Covid deniers and anti vaxxers claim Covid can be cured.

Or alternatively it is spreading still because

(a) The government imported a more transmissible variant from India about three months ago

(b) The government actively promoted a series of large scale events where people would gather together without any bio hygiene restrictions

(c) The government reduced the bio hygiene restrictions about two months ago

(d) The government totally removed all remaining bio hygiene restrictions three weeks ago

It is true however that the government have throughout the last 18 months always attempted to push onto other people the blame for the seriousness of the crisis in this country, rather than admitting that they cocked it up right royally from the first day. The latest cock up of course being that having promised the people that it would be all over on a specific day ("We will follow the data not the dates" - meaning of course that when it comes to the date we are going to throw away all the masks anyway, even if people are dying in the streets), they made a desperate gamble that vaccinations would go fast enough and would be effective enough to fix things by 19th July. But although we see that the vaccinations are definitely having a very good effect, they do not completely compensate for having removed all the restrictions too early, hence hospital numbers are again rising and there is a very real possibility that all the sacrifices over the entire 18 months have been pissed away so that Johnson could take the credit for letting people have a summer barbecue.

I can understand that.

In England children under 16 are only being offered it if they have an underlying serious health condition the is that different in Scotland?

That’s strange. I wonder why they closed the schools and did home schooling last year

There is so much misinformation in this post.

Firstly it was a never claimed the old people spread it and that young people couldn't catch it.

And secondly nobody with any credibility has ever claimed covid can be cured.

OP. You seem to have overlooked gaining a basic understanding of the scientific process.

We've gained volumes of information from research around the world, in 18 months. Much that we thought has been superceded.

The virus can infect us all, young, old, vulnerable or healthy. Evidence of who is getting infected is available. Go research it.

20% of current Covid hospital admissions are people 34 and younger. Younger people who are severely ill.

The very young are generally very active socially. Their high infection levels spread to any age.

The vaccines are very safe and effective and some have been researched for use with children of broader ages. They work.

We've got society back open up again. Some people didn't get vaccinated yet and they are leaving the UK in a more vulnerable position, as summer time offers lower levels of risk, compared to more time indoors in winter.

OP - You've suggested covid can't be cured, like the common cold.

This would be in total denial of the research evidence that we have. The vaccines have lowered infection caused illness and thousands of deaths, just in the UK. Source your knowledge about this from the research evidence, rather than some dodgy social media posts etc

If you have misgivings, please read up on the vaccine via a trusted source such as the NHS. (Not social media, which is awash with conspiracy theories.)

If possible, you could also try and talk to your doctor too.

How many original posters does it take to change a light bulb? Only 1 but as the light bulb has worked perfectly fine in the past he doesn't see the need to change it now.

Then please, please go and have a chat to your GP or the consultant if applicable, not just to put your son's mind at rest but you too.

Can I suggest you write a list of your concerns / questions before attending as sometimes we all forget stuff. Good luck.

Hospitals in Brazil and India are full of kids seriously ill with covid. Strangely both countries are run by far right leaders that are covid deniers.

I don't think you understand what has been going on as everything you have written is essentially not true.

Manchester (she/her)

Another source of information on vaccination that might be of use. It's potentially a bit left field, but the American Society for Virology are hosting "Vaccine Education Town Halls" on Zoom. "Scientific experts from major colleges and universities across the country are hosting a series of live town hall meetings to answer your questions about Covid-19 vaccination." Readily Googleable, afraid I can't post a link because of forum rules.

I have not "attended" one, but I'm aware of them because of the other sources I use.
