"We should have moved more quickly to create opportunities that were safer and less likely to fuel a grotesque viral spreading cycle. UK is 3rd in the world, in the past week or so, behind Brazil and Indonesia. Johnson wanted us on the world stage again " I'd prefer to be around people who have taken steps to help the wider community, even if it means testing for entry too.

".. coming end of September Proof of negative test will not be enough!!! Watch the whinging start…" Completely the right choice to my mind. Three million plus eighteen year olds currently not vaccinated so it should give them time to have it done by then. Expecting same announcements about public transport and supermarkets and pubs after the Summer.. Again the right thing to do as far as Im concerned.

"It's a load of nonsense and it is just creating another divide. The double jab doesn't stop you spreading or catching it same as no jab it so makes no difference. So the question is why would they make it so? And don't go on that it reduces symptoms so you will be asymptomatic so won't spread it! Have we have been told for the last 18 months asymptomatic spread is the biggest problem we face! " Are you really still questioning whether the vaccines work? The data is VERY clear that they are working even better than expected.

"Oh good at least we can take them to court over no jab discrimination discrimination. Discimination warning for pubs no jabs no entry Goes for clubs as well as any event organised. "It is only approved for emergency use! Still in trial until 2023 and not mandatory? Tell that to care home workers do some bloody research for the love of god " Approved means it's approved, right? It's not a mandatory vaccination. It does make me laugh when someone who's done literally no research and has zero understanding suggests doing some research. E

"It is only approved for emergency use! Still in trial until 2023 and not mandatory? Tell that to care home workers do some bloody research for the love of god " It's approved. There is in practice little difference between emergency use and full authorisation (in the US, which you're quoting with your 2023 date) other than long term efficacy. This is Paul Offit, a vaccinologist and on the FDA approval panel. He also notes that long term effects beyond eight weeks are unheard of in vaccines. The "trials" you're referring to are post marketing (ie, have been released to the public) safety monitoring. How scary, nefarious, and experimental, keeping an eye on things Please don't condescend me by assuming that I haven't looked into this in detail.

But I'm reading a transcript of Boris's speech and he says a proof of negative isn't enough to get in a nightclub. Instead you have to be double jabbed. If a person is double vaccinated they can still be infectious. Although the evidence seems to point to the being less infectious. But infectious all the same. If the rule introduced today (for Sep) said everyone has to test negative then I'd completely understand it. As it is worded in the speech just given it simply does not make sense. Or giving businesses a chance to prepare" Yeah but the removal of restrictions was pushed back by a month if they let the business know back then I'm sure they could have been prepared by now. If this move is designed to stop the spread of the virous it seems a bit pointless in my mind, given that vaccinated and unvaccinated people will have 2 months to mass gather freely (I know they have been doing this already). I guess I must not be as cleaver as most.

" Guess you're another one who has been bypassed by the scientific evidence. Full vaccination allows most people to get infected less than unvaccinated people. If they are unfortunate enough to get infected, they get much milder illness levels and much less chance of death. They also are less infectious to others, thus fewer people get infected. It's a clear benefit for everyone and can mean that society reopens quicker and better than whatever the other lot might possibly want. It's restrictions or vaccines to reduce the impact on society.
