A pinned post, pointing folks to where the water is doesn’t mean they will necessarily be any more inclined to go drink from the source of the water or indeed, take the water from the forum if it happened to be included in a pinned post. Besides which the Mods have a hard enough time as it is without adding to the burden of ensuring the water is constantly checked and suitable for human consumption.

It's good that sort of thing is there. But I really don't think it's especially visible where it is. And the damaging misinformaton and conspiracy theories to do with Covid tend to be spread here.

But that's hardly a reason not to have the info there. As for your comment about the mods, it'd hardly be arduous to pin a post here that links to guidance from a trusted source. I'm simply interested in saving lives. I'm not sure why you're arguing against that.

"No ping in having it pinned those who respect the facts already are aware of them, those who spout misinformation, lies, and conspiracy will ignore it and continue … You can lead a horse to water but sometime that horse will still tell you it’s lemonade .. " Variation on a theme... I like it

"I'd have preferred a pinned notice that spreading disinformation is against site rules and may result in service suspension or termination. Though this would be better done earlier in the pandemic. Other social media companies have taken a very different approach to fab. " In what way? The amount of conspiracy stuff that has been removed since March 2020 is unreal so I think Admins stance on it is the same as most other sites To clarify, discussion about a subject and someone disagreeing with what you are saying is not conspiracy stuff
