"For anyone over 18 that has not yet had a chance to book their vaccine...this weekend there is a massive drive to get the number of vaccinated up.. There are drop in clinics all over. https://www.england.nhs.uk/2021/06/nhs-walk-in-vaccination-sites-open-up-in-grab-a-jab-weekend/" Neither the vaccine companies nor the government will accept liability if anything goes wrong after people have had their jab. You're promoting the over 18's book themselves in and get their jab.... so are you going to accept liability if something goes wrong with the people that heed your advice ?

I'm not a lawyer, I'm not a medical professional, I'm just someone saying things on the internet. If you follow the advice of random people on the internet, then that's on you. People need personal responsibility to seek out reliable sources or trust the bodies charged with providing it.

You might think putting information in a leaflet counts as informed consent, I don't. People have usually made their minds up before they go without looking into it and most don't even read the leaflet. If they do then they don't absorb the info, just scan it so nothing really goes in. How many people would be vaccinated knowing all of the potential risks. It would be interesting to know how many people have actually changed their mind after reading the leaflet, I would guess not many. How often do you see the risks of vaccines being discussed on the mainstream media.....hardly ever. You might think informing someone is just putting the risks in a leaflet but I think more needs to be done because most people do not make decisions on their own, they like being told what to do....that's fact. Maybe that's their own fault though.

Further, while the analogy is inexact, not reading a contract and signing it is not an excuse under English contract law. If you don't read the leaflet then that's on you, I'd suggest

Maybe that's their own fault though. " the risks are minimal and very few people have a severe reaction... I think most people by the time they decide to have the vaccine have also made up their mind.. that the vaccines like many we have has previous are safe and tested to a specific standard. I think the side effects are all over everywhere... but also the reassurance that like with most vaccines/medications that the chance of a severe reaction are very very small. It made me smile to see so many waiting at the walk in as I drove off after picking him up... so many young people. We have been rushed off our feet today with people waiting in turn for their 1st or 2nd. I will be very proud in years to come to say I played my part.. Oh and the most common thing people seem to ask me is will they get a sticker or a biscuit after ... I disagree though that people do not give informed consent. I hear the questions and the advice given to those being vaccinated numerous times a week. They are also asked if they understand .... if they say no they are then asked if they want anything explaining

It's what led me to the experts in the first place. I also trust my knowledge of regulation and consumer protection. It's what keeps us alive. Strangely these regulations don't apply to the alternative side. It might be wise for you to pick up a dictionary anxd look up the meaning of the word 'misinformation'. Secondly, I'm not telling anyone not be vaccinated, people are free to do what they want. I've always said that. I want people to make their own informed decision.

I'm not forcing anyone. Just making people aware that they can just go in without needing to book this weekend. Most people are wanting their vaccinations, those that don't can ignore this Didn't say you was forcing anyone. You are promoting it though by highlighting the ease st which you can be vaccinated. I'll ask you again leedslad, are you going to take responsibility for anybody that catches covid after not being vaccinated because of reading the misinformation that you keep pushing? It might be wise for you to pick up a dictionary anxd look up the meaning of the word 'misinformation'. Secondly, I'm not telling anyone not be vaccinated, people are free to do what they want. I've always said that. I want people to make their own informed decision. " So.. please tell us leedslad, what do you actually know about the Pfizer vaccine?… I am curious about your actual level of knowledge…

Here's a link to the Pfizer vaccine leaflet (electronic version of the paper one handed out and there's similar ones for AZ and Moderna). Section 4 (Side Effects) has a section on reporting adverse events. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-pfizer-biontech-vaccine-for-covid-19/information-for-uk-recipients-on-pfizerbiontech-covid-19-vaccine#side-effects

"Just look at the latest government report and figures of deaths, - if you look it shows currently the it appears to be very interesting. Take a look at the report for yourself, and make your own mind up and dont let me or anyone else tell what should or should not be followed. It’s all in the data and an interesting read. “”But because you’ve been busy delighting in Hancock’s embarrassment, you’re probably not aware that Public Health England released a report on the very same day which showed the majority of alleged Covid-19 deaths are significantly higher in people who have had at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, with the highest number of deaths occurring in people who are supposed to be fully vaccinated. The report titled ‘SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and variants under investigation in England’, is the 17th technical briefing on alleged variants of concern in the United Kingdom and makes for extremely interesting reading once you realise what the statistics are actually telling us. PHE have compiled a helpful table which shows the number of alleged confirmed Delta variant cases in the UK alongside the number of alleged deaths due to the variant. The table shows that since the 1st February 2021 up to the 21st June 2021 there have been 9,571 alleged confirmed cases of the Delta variant in people over the age of 50. Of these 8,025 had been confirmed in the past 28 days alone. But the data shows that people over the age of 50 who are unvaccinated account for just 10% of the alleged confirm Covid cases, whilst those who are fully vaccinated account for 37% of the alleged confirmed cases. A further 40% of the alleged cases are people who had received one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine at least 21 days prior to their alleged confirmed Covid-19 infection.””" Those over 50 are more likely to be fully vaccinated, unvaccinated over 50s are a minority so those figures make sense.

To say that people who have studied subjects for years, are accomplished in their fields and internationally recognised are no more expert than you is highly arrogant, unless of course you've done the same. " The one that's not talking shit. And as someone that has been studying and working in scientific disciplines for longer than some of the voices here have been alive, I've got pretty good at telling the difference between real science and someone talking out of their arse. In the event of a disagreement between two genuine experts in their field, I will look towards whether there is any kind of consensus in the wider scientific community. If there is still any doubt, I am perfectly capable of reading scientific papers, checking back to source material, training myself in the basics of the field if it is an area that I previously had little direct knowledge of, examining the presented mathematics, and evaluating whether conclusions are compatible with the laws of physics and objective reality. On the other hand I know fuck all about football and have even less interest in it.

What’s your phd in? Virology? Immunology? Public Health? Maybe you’re a research scientist? Or perhaps a statistician? But just to be clear you think that there’s a world wide scam of researchers and politicians who are all in on this and you have the inside track? Quick question why would they want to purge all the people who will do what they’re told and none of the people who won’t? Surely if you want to be in charge it’s better with those “useless eaters” rather than those apparently “three digit IQ” people who won’t do as they’re told?

"How can it be tested if it's only been around a few months? How can it be safe if there's 1.5 million+ reported adverse reactions and 90%+ aren't reported?" I'm not explaining it to someone that wouldn't believe me anyway. But the research is out there.. adverse effects are well reported for this vaccine and thankfully mostly are simple things like headaches... and not sure you understand how the reporting works.. as not all that is reported is actually a result of the vaccine.. just a timing thing.

Remember, many people are in 2 minds about it all...and many of the ones that have got the jab have got it because everyone else around them is getting it. The government have not helped in this as there has not been informed consent ! ...they've just said book yourself in and get it ! sorry but I disagree.. there is an awful lot or information in the leaflets given out when you have the vaccine.. also you have to have been living in a hole for at least 6 months if you haven't heard about the pros of the vaccine. Or the risks... they even ask you before having it if your sure. To be fair my son wa reluctant so I got him to research it and now he is happy. He realises with having a vulnerable sister that it's a good thing Well if your son is happy and if he thinks he has made an informed decision to have it then that's fair enough. " You say how many people would take the vaccine knowing all of the potential risks. How many people would take a parecetomol if they read ALL the paperwork in the packet and read all the list of risks and contra indications. It’s about balancing risks with the benefits. It’s also pretty condescending to think people aren’t capable of assessing things for themselves.

"Yeah… erm… link for that please… ta" yeah I'd be interested in that seeing as I'm sure there has only been a handful of deaths actually attributed to the vaccine

"If them figures don't ring alarm bells, and you choose to ignore them, stupid is the right word for you. " You will need to provide a link for that before you can post again please

"Might pop out to one to warn the zombies of the dangers after millions of adverse reactions see this I find appalling. One that you assume that people that have made the choice to take a safe and tested vaccine need referring to as zombies... and 2, that you would actively go out and actually try to stop some of them. Do you not have a conscience...?? What it you actually stop someone and they then get covid and die??? Although I'm sure the stewards would hurry you along Apparently we had someone going up and down the queue yesterday, shouting anti vax stuff at the people waiting. I can't hear what's going on outside when I'm inside but someone told me when they came into the clinic room. It didn't appear to put anyone off but it did stress some nervous/needle phobic people out. I dont know how people doing stuff like that sleep at night I really don't. At least people still came in but it's not fair. I had someone send anti vax crap to my daughter when she had put she was off to have hers...someone told her it was a population control... and designed to kill people like her.. ( she has downs)" Bloody hell, that's horrible. I see Polly has suggested you report as a hate crime, perhaps that's good advice?! It's the first time I've been made aware of any anti vax activity at the centre, which has been open since February; I hope it's not going to be a regular issue

"For anyone over 18 that has not yet had a chance to book their vaccine...this weekend there is a massive drive to get the number of vaccinated up.. There are drop in clinics all over. https://www.england.nhs.uk/2021/06/nhs-walk-in-vaccination-sites-open-up-in-grab-a-jab-weekend/ Neither the vaccine companies nor the government will accept liability if anything goes wrong after people have had their jab. You're promoting the over 18's book themselves in and get their jab.... so are you going to accept liability if something goes wrong with the people that heed your advice ? Nope. I'm not a lawyer, I'm not a medical professional, I'm just someone saying things on the internet. If you follow the advice of random people on the internet, then that's on you. Once people have made their minds up they go with it. Many people are lazy, they're not going to bother reading the side effects of the vaccines in a leaflet and even if they do read it, many are that brain dead that they'll just ignore it. That's not everyone of course and many have weighed up the risk with the benefits when deciding.

Why do you think it's appropriate to call others brain dead?

" I read the entire leaflet and I understand that people far more knowledgeable than me, tested and trialled the vaccines and deemed them safe for use. I'm perfectly happy with my choice. The fact that you keep throwing out childish names doesn't actually strengthen your position, it just makes you come across as immature.

Because of all the ‘brain dead’ people out there you’ve nominated yourself to make the decision for them. I credit people with a bit more nowse than you do. I would also be quite interested to know what you base your view of the comparative risks of the vaccine with other commonly used pharmacy products, be it paracetamol or the contraceptive pill just to name two. I take some heart medications which are used by millions around the world but also have potentially serious long term consequences. I take them because on balance it’s the best option, but I could be one of the unlucky ones, just like the vaccine.

"Are you saying that taking paracetamol carries less risk than the covid vaccines ? ..oh come on And you can't dent that many people out there cannot think for themselves !" You're the one who made the claim. What's your evidence?
