So ascot can go ahead with over 12k spectstors, yet oulton park motor circuit cant host anywhere near that number, despite the spectating area being spread over a larger scale. Rich folks games ok then i see

NW London

Ascot probably generates more £££ for the economy, that is what it comes down to.

Nobody can ignore the economic damage covid restrictions have caused and nobody can deny that the damage has gotta be repaired somehow.

Add it to the list with the other million things that don’t make sense about this ‘pandemic’. On and on we go though!

Matt Hancock’s constituency is West Suffolk where Newmarket is the centre of the thoroughbred horse racing set. He describes being funded by leading figures of ‘wonderful’ UK racing as important. He also has racing links with Dido Harding. It figures.

it depends where they decide to trial things.

I'd do to be fair struggle with understanding why the bsb cant go ahead with limited fans. I'm at donington this weekend myself for club racing.

It was a trial event….. everyone had to produce a negative test to be admitted….

The extra capacity for the euros at Wembley is a trial event…

The download festival last weekend was a trial event

The rugby league challenge final will be a trial event…

The Wimbledon men’s and women’s finals will be a trial event….

The two rugby Union semi finals at the weekend were also trial events

So don’t make it a bike thing or a rich vs poor thing

Yes it’s reduced attendance, including the camping but it isn’t closed to fans as made out

This will be the same Dido Harding who has applied for the job of head of the NHS whose husband John Penrose MP is a member of the 1828 group who called for NHS to be scrapped in favour of private medical insurance. Hmmmm!

Hull

A number of trial/controlled expieriment events are being run in various sports and venues etc.

This means everyone who attended had to have a negative test to get in and have to report any infections after the event.

These results are being monitored to see if large events can be deemed safe.

We need to start somewhere and see what happens before we open everything and risk massive spikes.
