Yay!

I felt like *shit* after my first jab. Just awful.

But it was 24 hours in bed. Well worth it.

I was not good company. Painkillers, pile of blankets, bottle of water

I was so ill after my first jab 3 days and nights of the worst flu like symptoms I've ever experienced and I've had Pleurisy before and it was very similar.

It's was a full week before I started feeling back to normal.

Despite this experience I had the chance to get my 2nd jab yesterday on the vaccine bus as the gap was over 8 weeks and took it. I figured if I feel terrible at least its over a weekend and doesn't mess up work for me again.

So far I haven't felt as bad but I'm as weak as a kitten, I've tried to sleep it off and I'm forcing myself out this afternoon.

Still its all worth it to save lives and get closer to normality again.

"Had my second 4 weeks ago! Initially just a sore arm! Ever since my joints are hurting all time! Wish I'd never had the jabs tbh x"

it might not be related, i only got my jab thu but my joints have been hurting for weeks too , like i go to stand up and my legs take a minute to catch up to my brain and im a bit like bambi for a minute or 2 almost every time i stand up

part of me thinks its related to be being a lazy sod in lockdown , even though ive been that lazy sod over a year and its only just started ,part of me wonders if its related in some way to when i was ill recently , if i had my vaccine earlier then maybe i would have linked it to that - i think its just natural to try find a reason even when things may not be connected at all

Are you having a laugh? most people get mild flu like symptoms and a few feel a bit rougher. That compaired to 127,000 dead and god knows how may more left with long covid that has a massive range of debilitating symptoms that may never go. I am glad I took both jabs of the vaccine and suffered nothing more than a sore arm and felt a bit washed out the two days after

Maybe maybe not! But I not been idle! I push a heavy supermarket tote cart round 7 or 8 hrs and was fine till the jabs! Shall never know maybe it's my age at 64 next month? But I still wish I never had jabs but it is what it is at end of the day! x

The nurse doing my screening checks said it was important to keep well hydrated over the next few days so I'll make sure to do that too.

Is that purpose to see who is soft enough to take an experimental drug so that when they ask you the next ridiculous thing they know who to target first?

Had Covid last year. Had my second jab last week. I’ll tell you now that the side effects of the jab were nothing like getting Covid. Took me the best part of six months to recover from Covid and 24 hours to recover from first jab. Second jab had a sore arm for 12 hours. Some of the absolute nonsense people talk is unreal. I truly hope you don’t get Covid so you don’t have to test out your theory.

?? Unbelievable the reason the side effects from the jab WAS because you already contracted it and your anti bodies can obviously fight it! You didn't need the jab lol
