Here's mine..

Science is showing its working to an extent and without it the world won't restart.

Having a vaccine will reassure the people around me about their own safety . Particularly the vulnerable and the older generation who are often worried and concerned about their own health when in close proximity to people these days .

Finally, I suppose because it's a risk. Some kind of a gamble and something new as far as scientific development goes.

I find all of that quite an exciting thing to be part of and jumped at the chance to get both of my vaccines regardless of the risks involved .

Not taking it, shows, misinformed stupidity.

Reason for taking it= protect yourself and others.

Reason for not taking it= none, unless you get your news from social media and believe others anecdotal information and conspiracy theories.

Why would government want to put a tracking device in your arm when you already do that, by carrying a mobile phone? Also, why would government be interested in where I shop, eat, what cinema or theater I go to.

There's a reason there's very little rubella, mumps and measles nowadays, it's because you're vaccinated!!!

Mr had covid twice quite bad and to me it’s common sense to protect everyone you can family friends and strangers

Mrs hasn’t had covid but has had the vaccine and to also protect everyone

To be honest the anti-vax movement is just a money making machine just as bad as being in a cult and we all know how they end so good luck to you

For myself, I understand that the more people who are vaccinated, the less opportunity that the virus has to spread & mutate. I am fairly sure that I would not be overly impacted by the virus, but feel that it is sensible to be part of the problem.

your very unlucky if you had two healthy cousins around your age die with covid as less than 500 people under 50 with no other illnesses have died with covid and was it actually covid that killed them

Most people have other underlying conditions which alone will not kill them ( asthma, obesity, heart disease, diabetes etc) but if you add covid to them then it’s covid that becomes the fatal ingredient.

I’m a kidney transplant recipient, I’ve had a lot of operations through the years, including the removal of both old kidneys to make way for a transplant which happened in April 2009. Before that I was on dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours a time which took up a lot of my time .

A serious question, when you have been prescribed something or have taken an over the counter medicine, have you researched how long it has been on the market, what the clinical trials showed or read the side effects on the leaflet?

I'll explain to you my position on all this long term stuff people say.

If you had a family member that needed an organ transplant, you're the only match, they would suffer a painful death of they didn't get the organ. Would you say no, because you might end up with health issues yourself later?

I, personally, am willing to risk the very slim chance that there will be long term issues with the vaccine, it isn't a common occurrence and we are highly likely to be completely fine.

If I die as a result of taking an "experimental vaccine" (if I did, the control is an approved one) then I've died doing the best I could with the best knowledge I have at the time.

I consider it incredibly unlikely - because see knowledge - but I make decisions based on the evidence.

Of course there's no long term evidence. The vaccine is literally weeks old.

Stop reading and listening to cretins.

Get some genuine understanding of the research, it's testing and approvals.

Over 90,000 pregnant women have been vaccinated however, there is a preferred vaccine that should be taken. But in saying this, noone knows how it will affect children once born.

I think I'm going to wait a while until we get some real data on this and that, I think, is common sense. Remember, we are still Guinea pigs in this.

We both do.

I was prescribed 2 medications, months I had severe problems, ending up in hospital on oxygen for 4 days, and breathing/ chest/ other problems for 2 years while they tried me with other stuff to stop those issues, going backwards and forwards for tests - at no time did they (hospital or GP) even consider it was the 2 drugs prescribed...at one point I was on another 4 medications.

Turned out the 2 medications affect 1 in 10,000 people ( my own research)....went to Docs, asked to be prescribed something else....within weeks I was fine.

Also, there's another drug the GP prescribes me that causes osteoporosis if you take it long term....discussed this with my GP and I now only take it if I need to, whereas the GP still prescribes daily use.

I was on multiple medications that can cause osteoporosis for 20 years, luckily I don't have to be on them anymore, it's a tricky situation, you have to choose the lesser of two evils, for me, taking the meds was the better choice.

Notwithstanding, being vaccinated will reduce the effects of Covid if you do catch it.

This is absolutely true. Many members of my family work in the NHS and have not felt any real pressure increase from the usual workload.

Life is too precious to waste living in fear of covid. People it's time to get a grip and move on. Thousands die every year from the flu and as many have pointed out poverty, mental health and other factors cost humanity more than covid.

Over the last year I’ve been exposed to lots of non socially distanced situations and I haven’t caught covid or if I have I’ve had no side effects.

I’m not an anti vaccine person but I also don’t believe enough research has been done into long term effects from it (think of other previous jabs that have been removed due to side effects) or more importantly natural immunity to it all.

For now I’m happy to keep my distance from people and let things play out.

All the other 5G and tracking stuff is rubbish though, that much I do know.

How exactly do you know that you hadn't caught the virus just because you haven't fallen unwell and your immune system responded you could've still been a carrier and infected other people it's how germs spread

I haven’t had it but if I have I’m unaware that I have, IE I’ve not been ill.

I think if people washed their hands and used precautions like the last 18ish months then the flu wouldn’t exist anymore.

I completely agree with you. I'm not an anti-vaxer, I'm a health professional who is just not convinced by it all. Not convinced our government cares at all about the masses. They have allowed travel, given vast amounts of money to billionaires, lied to us. We are not getting both sides of story. Over a million people marched for freedom a week ago in London, not reported on main stream media. People have a choice at the moment let them make it.
