There are plenty or places that you can't go into without a face covering. Including hospital and doctors. Despite my daughter being exempt if she so wished... she has worn one anyway at my insistence... but at the doctors she had to wear one regardless

Hmm I need to check that, as the school where I work has removed the requirements for anyone including staff to wear masks in corridors.

They're still compulsory on public transport, in shops, docs, hospital and I believe in newly opened places such as cinemas.

For most people, the requirements of mask wearing are legally compulsory in specific circumstances. It's good that mom people know this and take this step to help to rebuilt our lives for the good of everyone.

You misuse the word 'psychotic'. It is necessary to help to protect life and health of ourselves and others. We are also working to rebuild our lifestyles and economy. Masks are a contribution to this essential goal.

Yup same here, no colds or flu for me since I started wearing one, even hay fever hasn't been as bad. As for those saying they don't do anything, sorry but you need to check your facts, as the mask I wear is a close fit mask with a disposable ffp3/n95 certified filter which is rated to stop organic vapour particles smaller than the water droplets that have been proven to carry the virus and I am quiet sure it works as it happily stops the fumes from varnish and paints that I use in my workshop. Stupid lace fashion masks will not work no but then you would be an idiot to think that they would

I think the aim is to remove restrictions on where you can go so nightclubs and other businesses which are still closed can open.

I presume there will still be testing prior to admission for large gatherings where people won't be wearing masks. Which is why they have had the recent experimental/controlled gigs and nightclub nights. All the people at those had to have negative tests prior to attending.

Given what I see every day, I'm no longer of the opinion that most of my fellow humans can be trusted.

Not only the bizarre posts one gets here... But over a year into this pandemic and people still haven't learned how to actually wear a face mask, which also means they must not understand the most basic concepts of how they protect people.

It's concerning. And really isn't rocket science.

Do you think anyone will release the all in one condom, rubber gloves and mask. Or have the fetish chaps got there first?

"I'm thinking I will continue to use mine even when they are not mandatory

Perhaps you should put on a full hazmat suit and gas mask. Oh and while you are at hit hide under the kitchen table in case the sky falls on your head.

Life is for living. You might be scared of dying but we all die at some point. Only those on death row know when "

Your "right to choice" ends when that choice can seriously harm or even kill others without their knowledge or consent.

A face mask is a minor inconvenience and if we all wear them (unless medically exempt) it will drastically reduce transmission of all airborne viruses.

Why a piece of material has become some symbol in some imaginary freedom fight is rather mystifying. But then people place great importance in pieces of cloth hanging from poles and I don't get that either.

But conversely - who does it hurt if I want to wear a mask in 2023? Maybe I can't afford to catch a cold this week. Maybe I'm immunocompromised. Maybe my nose is cold. Maybe it turns me on.
