By that, I mean "Side effects of the virus".

Covid "began" 2020 February half term when lots of kids came back from ski trips with "flu". Lockdowns soon followed and I notice it is 52 weeks since this website last allowed a posting on the forum meets section.

Background:-

18 months ago, mum became terminally ill. She passed away 6 month ago. She spent a lot of time in hospital during the covid pandemic. Covid did NOT appear on her death certificate.

12 months ago, dad was diagnosed with an enlarged prostrate, fitted with a catheter and sent home to wait for an appointment.

Our local health board is stating 5 years to catch up on the "covid" backlog of unrelated to covid illnesses.

Since dad is 87, I doubt that he will ever get an appointment to investigate his enlarged prostrate.

Since this is most likely (but undiagnosed) cancer, he will die without the NHS having to spend any money on treatment or further diagnosis of his condition.

Now, lets be realistic. Chemotherapy is expensive. Cancer treatments are expensive. Doctors appointments are expensive.

Sorry to for your loss.

However, I do think you're looking for blame, unfortunately in this case I don't think you'll find what you're looking for.
