"With easy access testing and x2 jabs - should we be starting to think about meeting up with like minded couples again?" The expectation is that when Step 4 on Boris' Roadmap is reached (currently June 21st), everyone will be able to do anything they could before all this started.

Theoretically yes, in reality though the situation is going to be very different and most people are going to be careful for some time. Don’t forget that come 17th May a lot of people won’t have been vaccinated at all and the majority of us won’t have had our second vaccine and time to develop immunity.

But the question was "should we be able to?" Not "do you think people will be willing?" or even "is it going to be safe?" Personally, I think that the majority will be happy to get back out there doing the things they've missed as soon as they are allowed. I also think that it will be relatively safe at that point too. By the end of June, the majority of the adult population will have had at least one jab and the number of infected/contagious people around will be much smaller... making the chance of becoming infected smaller too. It looks like, as we were warned a few weeks ago, that April is a slow month for jabs... Numbers have really tailed off this week. Let's hope they pick up again significantly in May.
