Anyone else have this after their jab?

Ok so first AZ jab done & next day my heads pounding but meh fair enough but I got them to put it in my good arm as the other years ago was mashed in a bike accident & permanently aches anyway.

A day later & my eyes are watering from the pains in my damaged arm/shoulder, pain that’s not been this bad since I smashed in over thirty years ago!

Spoke to a few friends about it & one before I uttered a word said “How’s your shoulder been?” Turns out a few have been having similar symptoms of old wounds flaring up pain wise, broken backs, knees etc.

It’s worn off a bit now but still more painful than it usually is three days after my jab.

Just interested if anyone else had similar as it’s not something I’d read about anywhere previously.

Yep, same issue of old injuries becoming painful, nothing too bad but worse than it has been for a long time!

Yes, me.

It's caused a flare in chronic medical condition I have, and have been extremely poorly.

No I've broken a fair amount of bones in fact the arm I had both shots in is plated and pinned together and no it had no effect on it whatsoever bar an ache at the site of the injection for a few days .

No. My severe injuries didn't flare up, though didn't look for this, as I had no side effects apart from a slightly tender insertion point

Thanks for the answers all, guess it’s affecting us all in differing ways, I was concerned about mine as a few I know have had severe reactions but I’m now fine apart from the jab point.

Nope. We've both had AZ now and a few friends have had it too. Absolutely none of us had any symptoms other than the usual dead/tender arm for a couple days

I have been very ill for about 4 days but have had really horrid shooting pains in my arm from my shoulder to my wrist to the point I did call the GP today. They are easing but have taken my breath away a few times. GP largely unimpressed. Got to wait another couple of weeks before they consider me worthy of any appointments. But oddly I broke my wrist a few years ago and my wrist has been killing. I wonder if there is something in what you say but I’ve no idea why it would do that

I had the AZ jab, i had it in my left arm which gives me trouble anyway following an injury. I have a rotator cuff injury/tear and the physio told me the jab causes inflamation which made my injury worse.

Aaah ok so that could be an explanation although it would have been good if the doc had said that.

Yes i agree, my GP didn't say that could be why my arm/shoulder was so painful but thank goodness for the physio xx

I had my Oxford job yesterday. Last night developed a temperature, and just complete fatigue tried to sleep through as much as possible. Working from home today but I can't think straight I've a cloudy head and feel sweaty.

All my strength is zapped out of me and I struggled to hold the baby for 5 mins this morning.

Typing this post took effort, I'm not in pain per say its more I've climbed Everest but I've saved nothing for the descent.

Also I'm sooo cold its crazy I had the gas fire on from 7pm to 10pm I normally can only handle it for 20 minutes in winter!

Is anyone else experiencing similar?

KJ

Had the AZ.. Sore arm for about a week. I carry a few injuries from falls and breakages etc so had the jab in the other arm.. It may have made a difference? .. Nothing else worth reporting though.

Just keep in minde no two folks react exactly the same to the same medacine. Thats why it needs more testing .think of it like this a bee sting may iritate you but it may kill a person who has alergic reaction.we are all difrent more time testing to know what reactions happen

Yes!! Not as bad as others have said tho.

Initial shivers, exhaustion for a couple of days ... then out of the blue a week later could feel lots of old injuries flare up, strong enough to take my breath away at times. Most peculiar - moved up my body a different area every couple of days.

3 weeks post jab all seems ok again... thank goodness.

As has been said, we all have different reactions.

No I’ll effects from my jab Sunday, although on my Monday morning 5k I was about 15 seconds off my pace. Not sure if that was the vaccine, the time change or just a bad run !

I did feel a little run down, so that had nothing to do with the 5 ales I had that night.

They don’t inject your head so what makes you come up with this theory. Personally never had a problem any way getting a throbbing ....

It’s to do with your bodies inflammatory response. Nothing to worry about. Take whatever medication you usually use to deal with that until it settles back down. Also eat plenty of natural anti inflammatory foods

Thank you for all the responses, I can confirm that all was back to normal after five days & the eye watering part only lasted half a day or so.
