So after June 21st nobody can talk to anyone else unless it's for business?

Think it's time they made it mandatory to have the vaccination unless your elergic to something in the vaccine, coz it like the face covering rules, they should have made it everyone even if exempt needs to wear something, otherwise we ain't ever going back to how things were 2019

Obviously it is important that the furlough scheme lasts longer than needed... rather than ending too early. Some industries will take some time to reach full pre-covid levels of operations.

Data not dates!

Each successive relaxation will have its terms dictated to by the data. The outline plans were given, with explanations of the need for sufficient delay, to monitor the data/effects of prior changes.

Nightclubs operating were an example given of the services that could reopen, due to restrictions at the end being relaxed.

Any changes to how things pan out will determine how the year progtesses. Currently mutation variants that don't even exist today, could affect things. If you want absolute certainty, it's not even guaranteed that the sun will exist and shine light tomorrow.

The next change is on Monday. Get behind it and ensure that things progress positively and we'll all be more likely to get to the end of this more quickly and easily. They cover their arses, by highlighting things outside of their hands, such as foreign variants, so that people don't get too surprised and blame them.

It means tne Italian government have earned thst a 3rd wave is looking more likely by the day cases are yet again beginning to rise and although a 3rd national lockdown isn't planned it absolutely isn't being ruled out.

Spain, France, Germany and UK are being advised to close ALL non essential travel and step up testing and vaccinations to minimise a 3rd wave as quickly as possible.

Its not a crisis at the minute but the media have stirred up yet another hornets nest but now people are panicking over 21st Junes "planned" final restrictions removal being pushed further back

Why do people get so hang up on dates? Yes, we do understand most are fed up with the restrictions. We are, too, but we understand the term "not sooner than", which was used when the roadmap out of lockdown was announced. As nobody can predict the future, what exactly is going to happen, and some sort of a protection had to be introduced.

The good thing is, out of all the European countries, UK has got the highest number of people who have been vaccinated so far. Yes, no vaccine is 100% effective, and also there will always be people who choose not to get vaccinated. However, at least in theory, the vaccine should help reduce the impact of 3rd, 4th, 5th and n-th Covid wave and allow us to go back to some sort of normal where we learn to live with this virus.

Again, don't get so hang up on dates, but do try to be just a bit more patient and don't jump to conclusions.

That's a desperately negative view, and likely to be wildly inaccurate.

The "no sooner than" qualifier is simply a more accessible way of saying "if the current and expected downwards trends in deaths and new infections continue, then we will be able to do it at this date" obviously, if the decline stops then the next step on the roadmap will need to be set back.

Currently all official channels are telling us that we are still on the projected trajectory and the dates on the roadmap are achievable.

The "uptake" of vaccines is not the issue in mainland Europe, the problem is lack of supply & lack of "jabbing" capacity. In all areas though, their throughput will continue to increase.

And people still want what they can't have.

So...

This non flu has caused many countries to shut down to protect from serious health consequences. Vaccination is happening globally at different rates. Some people want to travel to Europe like they used to, but can't because of the ongoing global health threat.

Hope that clears things up.

I think OP post is about the fact Boris is concerned that a 3rd wave of infections can hapen in few months times and for this reason furlough have been extented till September

Actually it's true!

As most people will come to realise as soon as furlough ends and there's no more money left!

People will rightly want to protest and it will be illegal to do so if the latest government bill gets it way from the controlling Tory party.

That's what all the fuss was about ( most of the protestors were mask wearing and peaceful by the way). They dont want the UK to lose its civil liberties and let the Tories turn it into a dictatorship.. Eventually.. People are so preoccupied with Covid they can't see what's happening right under their noses

You'll see!

I've worked through 3 recession's and lost thousands in wages ,I'm not saying that there isn't going to be upheaval and unrest and I truly sympathize with those affected particularly ones with mouths to feed.

But this call to arms and let's start a war on the streets burn parliament mentality isn't going to help anyone or anything.

Delaying the fact that an awful lot of businesses won't have actual jobs for the smug furloughed to return to..

Hence the latest crime Bill being forced through Parliament .. Riots and unrest is expected later in the year

6 million unemployed by September is optimistic..

Time to start going against the scared children incharge...

Enough of this bollocks

What an utterly ridiculous post.

You'll see!

Cats and dogs living together, brimstones raining down upon us all.

I think some of us are old enough to remember the doom laden 70's and 80's miner's striking and poll tax riot's

Things bounced back and the wheels kept turning.

Rather than a smug" I told you so" post why not use efforts more productively and think about solutions for re employment and helping those less fortunate than trying to instigate civil war.

Or are you guys only here to damn the government whatever they try to do and sit smug and pleased with yourselves?"

Much too sensible.

Some seem to want to ignore the great progress that's being made every day.

Can we have a translation ?

O will try my best

I think OP post is about the fact Boris is concerned that a 3rd wave of infections can hapen in few months times and for this reason furlough have been extented till September

Obviously it is important that the furlough scheme lasts longer than needed... rather than ending too early. Some industries will take some time to reach full pre-covid levels of operations.

Maybe come out of your bunker... I'm very rarely wrong

I'm good thanks,if I wanted to be brainwashed by anti government rants and incitement to riots I'll go on Facebook.

Just common sense, we're a nation of shopkeepers and service industies.. You watch the domino effect when the rug is pulled...

Heard of the winter of discontent?

This winter, you wait and see...

For flu? Utter bollocks

Have you heard that Covid isn't flu? Thought you should know."

I thought Covid was the Kung Flu.

And oddly enough the money never does run out, some make more, some get cast aside, but it never quite runs out..
