"They are trialling bubble holidays . Only people in same household can stay in the same room. There’s no borders in Europe so people can go where they like pretty much these days. " Prob negative test before travel and before return . Or even better proof of vaccine. As we know from research being carried out that the vaccines do not stop you catching, carrying or circulating the virus surely the better of these options is the testing not a piece of paper saying that you have been vaccinated? " the research has shown that the vaccine does indeed help lower transmission and also reduce the risk of catching it... but mostly it stops the severity of the virus if you still manage to catch it. .I won't be going on holiday while you have to add 2 to 3 tests to go as simply cant afford the extra £250 plus each person.

Yes its looking probable that some international travel may be allowed but most countries have some form of restrictions and the uncertainty and how quickly things can change we just wouldn't be able to relax so seems like a waste of money. Also both the holidays we had booked changed the airport and one changed twice to there is just too much uncertainty.

The point is that at the moment there are loads of people going on holiday who claim it is an essential trip and very little that the law can do to stop it. Now it will be very clear and a very strong incentive not to break the law.

A strong incentive is the mandatory quarantine measures or the new forms required for travel. The prospect of being turned away from the airport without a refund for not having the correct paperwork is deterrent enough. These new measures only serve to diminish the faith in government and scientists in the eyes of the general public.

" because if you have a second property that needs ongoing maintenance it would be wrong to ban you from getting to it So the virus knows not to infect second home owners ?" well we both know that’s a ridiculous nonsensical suggestion, but would you rather we also had to start dishing out government money as compensation for deterioration and devaluation of assets we didn’t let people maintain? they still need to fill out all the paperwork and follow any quarantine rules to reduce risk from the visit, we just haven’t banned them from flying out , the same way that we haven’t banned people going for business

However, come 18 April (if that date remains the same) you are allowed to stay overnight in self contained accommodation, so I can’t see them stopping others travelling for a day. There are plenty of places you can go and keep your distance.

Yes UK maybe able to stop the spread of variations of covid, but Europe won't due to land borders." People don't just go on holiday to Europe. If they are smart, the police should concentrate on fining people who appear to be joined at the hip to a smartphone. Word of the incident will be all over soshul meejah in seconds flat. Propaganda job done as well as collecting some much needed money for the coffers.

"Until such time as the population of an entire country is vaccinated, travel to and from that entity should be banned. This highly transmissible virus is no respector of political boundaries, but will exploit any opportunity to infect another host.Simple biological fact. The effects of a draconian ban is damaging to the pattern of economic and social activity that has emerged over the last 500 years, namely international trade and recent mass travel by plane, but until such time as this pandemic is brought under control, we have to curtail what we formerly considered to be normal life. If we don't we're simply going to experience wave after wave of Covid-19 and its inevitable mutations. For as long as it takes, 'normal' life has to be suspended!" That's for ever then because too many people think Bill Gates will have control over them from the Windows C-19 chips in the vaccines ![]()

I do know some people were travelling to a certain part of Spain, stating dental treatment and had evidence to prove it. What happened then was... The dental professionals in a certain part of Spain contacted the Irish Government stating... We have many Irish people making Dental appointments, but they don't show up... & the apparent Dental `patients` received Email confirmation that yes, they have Dental appointments in Spain. Hence they were allowed travel.
