Please comment if you have received that particular vaccine and still breathing / able to comment .

I've booked it and have some distraught family members (who are literally the loves of my life but dumb as poo )! that are sure I'm gonna drop dead if I go ahead and get the Oxford one . Unfortunately the NHS website is not giving the choice to attend the other local centre that offer the Pfizer.

My mom had the Oxford vaccine 3 weeks ago now and she is absolutely fine. Not a single side affect reported yet. Infact she said she doesn't know whether its anything to do with the vaccine but she feels better than ever

Had the Oxford one 2 weeks ago ansmd aside from a sore arm at the injection site I was fine. But I also had covid in January and was find as well.

Some people I know have felt ill from it though. It's to be expected as your body fights to produce antibodies.

Take some paracetamol before your jab and before you go to bed.

Had mine Friday.

Sore arm and was a bit sick early hours of the morning.

I did however have a bag of greasy crisps before bed which may have caused the vom.

Had heartburn on and off, but again, could absolutely be coincidence as it's not that unusual for me although I'd not had it for a while prior.

My mother had it.... and she's still about allegedly.

Weirdly, my sister also had it at the same time and place as I had the other. She's also doing great. Less side effects than I had.

It is bollocks, perpetuated by people with malicious intent.

I have had the Oxford vaccine, as have many of the people I know with no side effects.

I'm still alive and kicking, more the pity I guess for many in these forums

My mother is in her mid-70s and had it a couple of weeks ago. She’s fine. Some people report a bit of a fever afterwards, but that’s not necessarily a bad sign. After the Pfizer one, they were getting patients to hang around for a bit afterwards to make sure they didn’t have an allergic reaction (I’m assuming they’re still doing it).

I do community work with the elderly, and most of my group had the first dose of Oxford AZ vaccine. They've said anywhere between "didn't feel it and no side effects" through to sore arm and headache for a day or so.

We’ve both had this vaccine.

T had a sore arm, headache, achey bones & felt cold for @24 hours after. T had a stem cell transplant so his immune system is not quite 4 years old yet.

I just had a sore arm & felt really tired but was fine the next mornings

Pfizer has the higher efficacy number from the trials, but it depends, and they're both excellent.

I have an oversight of all of them in working practice, all I can say is they all work definitely, currently even looking like slowing transmission, but lockdown has certainly stopped it in its tracks. Don't know enough about the single dose from johnson and Johnson but looking promising too.

I'm just trying to put their mind at rest , they seem to know zillions of people that have had it and are very poorly and people that had Pfizer and are fine .

My sisters , drama queens but overall gullible and naive , they're twins ...

I had the Astra Zeneca vax yesterday, dead heavy arm for a while and then just tired and shivery

Slept for 11 hours straight and woke up with a sore arm, sore throat and a bit of a cough. Still tired but feel fine tbh

They seem to know Zillions of people that have had Oxford and ill with It . An exemple would be her father in law had Pzizer and is fine , her mother in law had oxford and is "still" ill with it , another is a mother is fine on Pzizer , the daughter is practically at doors death on Oxford .

I'm the first one is our family to be going for it .

Our parents live abroad and their vaccine program is behind .

I had the AstraZeneca one at lunchtime yesterday. No pain at the injection site, no redness or anything however I woke up at about 2am this morning feeling really, really sick and also had a banging headache. At this present time, the sickness has gone, the headache has gone but I'm still ever so slightly aching all over. I still think it's a very small price to pay if it protects me from Covid.

We both had it Friday. Both had mild to moderate flu like symptoms for about 14hrs but both fine now. Injection site (upper arm) is still a little tender but not that you'd really notice unless you knocked it, it's not sore to wear clothes over or anything like that.

I had my first vaccine on Tuesday and have experienced covid like symptoms from 12 hours after up until today - fatigue, muscle ache, headache, loss of appetite. My system felt as if it was in battle!

However, I spoke to a GP yesterday who tells me that those side effects are particularly more common in those who have already had the virus previously (I have) he advised me not to worry that it was my obviously robust immune system responding exactly as it should and it would be gone overnight. Today I feel absolutely fine..... my T Cells and Antibodies are ready for anything now

I had my first one a couple of weeks ago and live and well. When you attend they go through any allergies very carefully. The next day my arm felt hot and the after a few days I felt very tired for the rest of the week.

Would have preferred the Pfizer one, as people seem to have less side effects, but at least I've had one of them.

Think you have to remember how many people have had the vaccine. There are millions , and obviously you are going to hear about the bad ones .

Bit like a plane ..... 1000’s in the sky every day . You never hear about every single one that lands safely and how wonderful the flight was . Unfortunately it’s the crashed ones you hear about .

I had it a couple of weeks ago with absolutely no side effects at all.

My wife had it also, about 5 weeks ago, and she isn't 100% right yet. Had 2 bad weeks then slow improvement.

But she always feels ill for a spell after the routine flu jabs too,

However you might feel after vaccination it's temporary. Being dead fom covid isn't.

I was told by a health care professional that if you have already had covid 19 and then have the vaccine, you are more likely to have a reaction because you already have anti bodies in your system but you won't grow 2 heads or extra limbs, you just feel crap for a while. I have my 2nd vaccine booked next week and had no issues other than a sore arm.

I work with 2 people that had it on Friday, 1 felt rough and the other one had been sick during the night but she's got allergies. I'm surprised they let her have it because some of them are quite severe but both were able to work yesterday so couldn't of been that bad!

I received this vaccine on Thursday, I was a bit ill on Thursday night, pounding headache and unable to concentate - this ran through to Friday morning - took some paracetemol at the time, now as of 2.30am Monday morning, had a good saturday and sunday with only hot spells waking me up in the night. My arm still aches when lifted, like someone gave it a good punch.

Had mine sat gone, wiped me out tired. Slept a lot, body ached.

Felt like the worst kind of flu not much else though.

Just a bit tired still today and arm aches if i put pressure on it.

Ive also has severe allergic reactions to certain meds in past (look up steven johnson syndrome). And nothing even remotley like that from the jab.

So overall nothing different to the average person has said re side effects.

I've had it. Here's the process I went through:

1. Fine at first,

2. Arm ache

3. Woke with a fever in the middle of the night

4. Felt washed out next day

5. Back to normal

6. Lucky to have had it.

We're so lucky to live in such a wealthy, advanced nation that we're offered a way out of this nightmare for free.

A failure to grasp science isn't an argument against it.

I had it on Monday, and not a single side effect not even a sore arm, or pain where the injection was. The normal flu jab gives me worse! (Mr). The wife however had the pfzier 5 weeks ago had really painful arm for 2 days. Apparently the pfzier 2nd shot it worse

I have had the Oxford vaccine, as have many of the people I know with no side effects.

Let’s be right this isn’t entirely true.

Mrs had it and was rough, like really rough, for 48 hours after. Hit her like a ton of bricks.

I had it and bar being a little tired the next day was fine.

Different people will get different reactions. Not all complaint about side effects are crazies.

We've both had the Oxford one.

Ourselves and others we know through work, have pretty much written the next day off due to the sheer exhaustion from making those antibodies. This doesn't happen for everybody, but you will understand if you get that feeling.

Took 12 hours before it came and then 24 hours before feeling ok again.

Would rather have that feeling than ever catch covid 100% of the time!

Its to make sure that those in the top 9 priority categories have had the 1st and in most cases 2ed jab as supply issues are a concern.

All the males we know have had the OxfordAZ vaccine including myself (3 weeks ago) none have had any reactions apart from a slightly sore arm for 24 hrs. When I get the flu jab I often feel aching in all my muscles for a couple of days but I didn't even get a sore arm with the Covid vaccine and felt 100% afterwards. We know dozens of people that have had the various vaccines and the worst symptoms have been a bit of a sore arm for 24 hrs.

I had Oxford and the side effects were awful but I’d still rather have that instead of covid.

Headaches, muscle aches, bone aches, sensitive eyes, insomnia, nausea, fever, mild confusion. It all went within 2 days, except the fatigue which lasted a week or so.

Paracetamol helped a bit, but I mainly slept through it all.
