"Please comment if you have received that particular vaccine and still breathing / able to comment . I've booked it and have some distraught family members (who are literally the loves of my life but dumb as poo )! that are sure I'm gonna drop dead if I go ahead and get the Oxford one . Unfortunately the NHS website is not giving the choice to attend the other local centre that offer the Pfizer. Thank you " It is bollocks, perpetuated by people with malicious intent. I have had the Oxford vaccine, as have many of the people I know with no side effects. I'm still alive and kicking, more the pity I guess for many in these forums All vaccines have risks,

Pfizer has the higher efficacy number from the trials, but it depends, and they're both excellent.

"I have an oversight of all of them in working practice, all I can say is they all work definitely, currently even looking like slowing transmission, but lockdown has certainly stopped it in its tracks. Don't know enough about the single dose from johnson and Johnson but looking promising too. " Apparently the data presented to the FDA is really good.

"I had the Oxford AZ this week. Had a temp and headache on Wednesday, the day after, and a fair dose of fatigue. My arm is still a bit tender, but I'm definitely still alive and kicking!!" How long between receiving the jab and feeling side effects ? We had ours this morning !

"I had it 3 weeks ago. I had flu like symptoms for 24 hours after. Then absolutely fine. I've no idea why they would think you would drop dead. " I'm just trying to put their mind at rest , they seem to know zillions of people that have had it and are very poorly and people that had Pfizer and are fine . My sisters , drama queens but overall gullible and naive , they're twins ... I always say they got the looks and I got the brains .

"I had the Pfeizer but I work with a few people who had the Oxford one and they're still very much alive and well . One had flu like symptoms the day after but then was fine the following day. Can I ask why they're worried specifically about the Oxford vaccine as there's more controversy over the Pfeizer? " They seem to know Zillions of people that have had Oxford and ill with It . An exemple would be her father in law had Pzizer and is fine , her mother in law had oxford and is "still" ill with it , another is a mother is fine on Pzizer , the daughter is practically at doors death on Oxford . I'm the first one is our family to be going for it . Our parents live abroad and their vaccine program is behind .

"If you have a cold will they still give you the injection My medical centre asked people with a cold not to come" According to the package leaflet that comes with the Astra Zeneca vaccine “a mild fever or infection, like a cold, are not reasons to delay vaccination.”

"Latest news from the Republic of Ireland: "On Sunday morning, Dr Glynn issued a statement revealing that new information received from the Norwegian Medicines Agency on Saturday evening that discussions with the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA), NIAC has recommended that the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine be temporarily deferred with immediate effect." As for other European countries: "As of March 11, 2021, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Luxembourg have all suspended the use of AstraZeneca’s vaccine, either in full or in part, following reports of blood clots. Austria has also suspended a particular batch of AstraZeneca’s vaccine in order to complete an investigation into the death of a 49-year-old woman who suddenly developed a severe coagulation disorder. Another Austrian vaccine recipient, a 35-year-old woman, developed acute lung disease from a dislodged blood clot. The same vaccine batch had reportedly been used in Denmark, where a 60-year-old woman died from a blood clot. According to a March 2, 2021, report24 by The Defender, U.K. data show the AstraZeneca vaccine has 77% more adverse events and 25% more deaths than the Pfizer vaccine."" https://youtu.be/w9OxwJMOagI An interesting contrast with the figures here: Covid causing 2-5 deaths per thousand people, while the AZ vaccination causing 41 severe adverse reactions (not death) in 5 million people.

Know several others who had no more than a slightly numb arm for a day or two. And one hypochondriac " mate" who is still feigning "feeling desperate" 3 weeks later... but he is a tosser!!" "I was told by a health care professional that if you have already had covid 19 and then have the vaccine, you are more likely to have a reaction because you already have anti bodies in your system but you won't grow 2 heads or extra limbs, you just feel crap for a while. I have my 2nd vaccine booked next week and had no issues other than a sore arm. " I'm relieved to know I won't be growing an extra head ... an extra pair of hands could have been useful though
