"How the hell is everyone getting jabbed " I think I got it due to a miniscule heart murmur I've had from birth but never had symptoms of. I did ask my GP during another consultation and he said "everyone will be offered by July, so even if you don't think your heart condition merits it, just have it anyway". So I did. Today (actually yesterday now - Friday).

"I think the vaccinations are going slower than the gov. is letting on, I am over 60 have heart trouble & a key worker have not been contacted yet. I have only herd of a couple of people who have been vaccinated. " It depends on the area I think. My locality (population about 25,000) is well underway with the over 65s and 16+ with health conditions. They did 1000 vaccines today alone. There's an NHS site where you can enter your NHS number and if you're eligible, let's you book at one of the mass centres.

Incidentally in a further post she kindly mentioned she was a keyworker which i discovered by reading the thread in full " Supermarket workers are classed as keyworkers. But they are not prioritised for the vaccine (unless in another category). Whatever your council area is choosing to do, the national priority groups set by the JCVI is not based on employment, other than healthcare workers. Being any other kind of keyworker does not lead to priority. From my local council's FAQs on the vaccine rollout: Who gets the vaccine first? The order in which people will be offered the vaccine is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

"Underlying health and front line and had mine 5 weeks ago, still kept as safe as I physically could. 1.5 weeks later I CAUGHT COVID. It put me on my ass amd damn near destroyed mental health. Even after my second dose we wont be meeting to play until there is a proper handle on this virus. The vaccine does not stop you getting this, only reduces how ill you are and how tranmissable it is. I want plenty more fun in the furture and part of the fun is in the build up.... we will wait " I hope you're feeling better x

I am sorry you still managed to get it.

"Got mine on Friday. I flagged up on the system. I have photosensitive epilepsy and a history of mental health issues. Can only make the assumption that's why. I did question it when booking saying I didn't think I deserved it yet but they said I'd flagged up and that was that. " I have been invited for mine too and get it tomorrow, I was surprised because my main disabilities are pain related not immune system. I narrowed it down to a history of kidney infections or me being overweight. Surely fibromyalgia isnt an at risk condition?

I know people in their late 50s who are just receiving invites and having their jabs at the end of the month. I felt quite fraudy in all honesty.

I had no idea that you had photo sensitive epilepsy, how are you doing with that? I’m hoping to get my license back in may due to my epilepsy

It's not on the official list that puts you in group 6 but I know a couple of people that have fibromyalgia or ME whose doctors have put them in group 6 and I know others who have these conditions and can't get the vaccine until it's their age range so I think it seems to really depend.

"Not had mine yet,but happy to let all the vulnerable and frontline workers get theirs first ,seems a lot of queue jumpers Who has jumped the queue? You have to be invited to book an appointment... My next door neighbour told me that if you register on a website as an unpaid carer you get priority,he’s having his second vaccine in a couple of weeks and is several years younger than me. That's not true, I'm an unpaid carer and I got a letter from the NHS to go for my vaccine. .you have to be registered as a carer with your GP. So agreeing with _eeley that you cant just queue jump. I have also had my first already. Been told I will get my 2nd earlier than expected Out of curiosity, have they said why you'd get the second dose sooner?" No. Just that next shift I am on that there is vaccines going spare that I will get it.

"How the hell is everyone getting jabbed Many people lie about their age on Fab. They are all actually pensioners. That explains it " In our area, if you’re in a support bubble you can get it at any age
