We have all been looking forward to the day it does come to a end. But looking on a flip side to it all who else on here is feeling abit nervous about meeting people on here again.

In our everyday lives we are shy people. And because it’s been so long now our normal lives have been what we have been forced to adapt to.

So come on and be honest why is a bit nervous about the whole thought of meeting again??

I am probably more excited than nervous. Really looking forward to when swinger's clubs reopen, found it the best way to meet new people from here.

If you are under 50, with no serious medical conditions then the chances of you getting sick, and or mildly unwell is relatively low, the chances of you being hospitalised is even lower and you have more chance of drowning in spunk than dying of Covid.

I won't start going to clubs or parties again for a while however it would be nice to have the option.

As much as we have missed meets and club nights we won’t be rushing back into the lifestyle again too soon. Not really sure that’s due to nerves though, more about seeing how things pan out in general as things get back to some semblance of normality.

We will both have had our 2nd vaccinations by then but still wary of the virus and the damage it can do.

Totally wrong information.

I can assure you the many young people I have cared for will tell you otherwise.

The virus is no respecter of age or how healthy you are.

So it's not looking good for anyone over the half century then.. Is that what you are saying?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we all still meet on Zoom or FaceTime before we are confident to meet physically again. It may well be a sensible way of having a social meet before an actual meet. It would save a lot of time and effort if you know on line if you will get on with a potential meet or not.

I don't like crowds anyway, but the thought of being in a place surrounded by people puts chills down my spine, its something I am working on and will take as long as it takes for the anxiety to lower to a manageable level

Being a bit nervous about diving back into swinging is a normal response to the pandemic. As for me, I plan to go to Steamers Quay in Torquay as soon as it opens and get into that nice hot tub. I expect my worries will soon vanish as the bubbles burst around me. See you all there. x

Watch, loads will go rushing out thinking that the virus has gone over night .... stupidly will rein just like the panic buying etc... but the media will fuel the frenzy... make a good story if it all goes tits up .... cautious, yes but I’ll take my piss bottle to the pub in April 12 so I don’t have to go inside...

Yep won't be going out more then I am now and that is just work and shopping.

Don't want to increase the risk of contracting it again.

Or the thought of passing it on to any one else.

The question is does anyone seriously believe that this will all end on the 21st June ?

or maybe a different question is does anyone believe that after 21st June we will all be safe even if Boris ends lockdown.

I for one do not believe either !

By the looks of some people’s profiles they haven’t given a second thought to their antics over the last 12 months, which is a little disappointing, but each to their own I guess. We have very much missed the lifestyle - socialising with like minded folk and such like. Would love to think folk can get back out to clubs soon after the 21st June. The owners and staff of all the clubs we have been to have been fantastic to us over the years and we really feel for them. I’m thinking it will take a wee while for life to resume but hopefully the clubs will survive.

Boris said on Monday that the maximum proportion of the population that will receive at least 1 jab by the end of summer will be approx 50%. Yes of course this will ease serious illness, hospitalizations and deaths ( until the virus likely mutates to evade current vaccines) but with 30 odd million people in the UK not protected at the end of the current program it's still gonna be pretty bad out there and normality as we knew is gone . The 'new' normal will be to live with this virus as Chris Whitty said.

I'd be really surprised if the 21st June sees a return to normality

I think personally going to a club with the benefit of one jab is very risky esp if you come into daily contact with people at risk of a serious illness from covid outside the scene

There seems to be a lot of mild hysteria in the media about returning to how things were

Maybe we should accept this may not happen ?

Sadly I fear many will die in another wave before we grasp this and plan accordingly

It's exciting and I'm quite hesitant but will take things slowly - suck it and see - if you like . There's no rush, just because things reopen.
