"Reuniting families and allowing people to have more social contact will be an "absolute priority" in easing lockdown after schools reopen, No 10 says.

Options being considered include allowing two households to mix outdoors in the coming weeks."

I know I'm reading between the lines but ?

Or maybe I'll discuss it here and ask others what they think.

There is a huge mental health crisis.

This will help.

Obviously the govt need to open the economy and non essential shops etc, but they will take this meeting outdoors into account in their plans also.

Going off previous lockdown releases I'm kind of expecting the same thing.

The scientists know what actions do what to the infection and R rate and what will be done.

The details will be in the timing of it all, when things will happen.

Meeting someone outside would be good. Just for a socially distanced chat.

Am i missing something...

I go for a walk everyday on my own and see lots of people chatting over the park not socially distancing.

This as been going on for months.

I am 100% sure that the government live on a different planet to the rest of us!

On a mooch

I don’t see much change to what we have now in that headline, except you can meet more than one person outdoors, together with schools (primary only to start) possibly going back

Yes, but this means we could meet a family member who we've not seen, for example.

There are always people not following the rules, but for those who have been following this is important.

I think the govt needs to stop a certain proportion of society to stop being so terrified of everything. It does not serve anyone now.

Mental health crisis is so vast. Very concerned by it.

I think they are drip feeding bits of vague concepts, with unspecified dates for them to be allowed.

Not much is going to be permitted from the start of March and the recent focus has been for data to drive the changes.

I miss seeing some friends face to face and being at home for so long it’s really starting to make me depressed

I think this will be part of the new revamped tier system and it also helps track and trace to get going again properly

My daughter has spent most of the last year at home, missing her friend and school, not being able to go away anywhere, not being able to meet up with people and would agree, not normal in my book either.

Bexley

Going to the shops yesterday showed every sign that the Great London Public have already decided that they weren't going to wait for Boris to make any announcement.

I decided to call it either Liberation Day or Independence Day.

Same again today I made a brief trip out to the bottle bank and to get some petrol and the traffic was back up to the level of a pre-covid Sunday.

I can't see any extension or renewed lock down getting taken seriously. I suspect that if Boris wants to stay in favour he is going to have to take the groundswell of unrest into serious consideration.
