"Surely by now, we have learned to do the opposite of anything Wales does." Maybe we should have copied England seeing as how you have everything under control ..Schools are only opening for 3-7 year olds from next week for the time being .We are still in lockdown and it’s being reviewed in 3 weeks time . In terms of our numbers we are heading in the right direction and for the first time in awhile I’m feeling optimistic..

I dont know but if this is a virus that is transmitted by humans it can be transmitted by 3 to 7 year olds. I get that thay need school But with that age group not having to ware masks any one the come into contact with could contract if thay become possative. Including parents. if the R numbers gose up will it be more lockdown.

"Schools have been a if not the major cause of spreading the virus. Look at the graphs for case numbers etc and mark on the dates for opening/closing of schools. Look at a 3 week lag. Massive correlation. Hospitality = very little effect. June, hospitality open again (with rule of 6/restrictions easy to manage) July/Aug/Sept...low cases, flat graph. Schools open early Sept....end of Sept/early Oct....rates go up exponentially. Kids are superspreaders...fact Hard to put in controls in schools. But politicians/"experts" on a sides are afraid of saying the truth...." so yer let's see where Wales is in 3to 4 weeks

We went back into a national lockdown over 2 weeks ahead of England, so it makes sense we are able to start gradually easing restrictions a little earlier here

"I just thought the guy who's in charge in Wales was just sticking two fingers up at Boris and will always do something a bit different. " I guess he has to make his decisions based on the situation in Wales rather than the situation in England Makes sense really

Cases in England and Scotland followed exactly the same pattern until English half term towards the end of October. Schools in Scotland went back 3 weeks before they did in England (11th ish August). Why didn't we see Scottish cases rise 3 weeks before English cases? Scottish cases started to drop 26th October. English cases started to drop 17th November. Why did cases drop as we entered the colder months and the schools had been in (with the exception of 1 week half terms) until about the 5th December at which point we entered the next wave?

"I just thought the guy who's in charge in Wales was just sticking two fingers up at Boris and will always do something a bit different. " No, Our drakeford is/was a trend setter, we allowed pubs to open without being able to buy an alcoholic drink, genius springs to mind.
