If you have not had your covid vaccination yet and was wondering what it's like then this is the post for you.

Put simply, for a couple of days after your vaccination it feels like the day after you went rambo at the gym. That whole body muscle ache thing where it even hurts to get out of bed. I had my jab about 4 days ago and there's still a bit of an ache but I imagine tomorrow will be better

I think it’s dependant on the person... my Mother had hers and firstly she didn’t even feel the jab but also had no ill effects afterwards.

Yet when I was working A&E, a lady was brought in having palpitations, sickness, blurred vision etc. She was in a right state bless her!

Gosh, hopefully that's quite rare?

Four recipients I've spoken to reported the following:

2 were laid up in bed for two days with severe flu-like symptoms.

1 felt like she'd been punched in the arm for 36 hours afterwards.

1 experienced shooting pains through her entire body and head for three days.

Not everybody responds to the vaccine the same.

Deal

Very much varies tbh, with both the Oxford and the Pfizer, seems to be a stronger effect for those that have previously had the virus, fair few of my staff had no reaction to their first Pfizer dose, but 50% had flu like symptoms for 24 hours after their second, small price to pay I reckon...

My husband has had the vax' (astra), and he has had a sore arm - very much like the flu jab - which lasted 3 days - felt a little dizzy late on 10pm - had the vax 11am.

Beyond that. All good.

Please. Don't let a little soreness and dizziness stop you from having it.

Took all of 5 mins in and out. Thank you to the NHS staff and volunteers (particularly the ones we know lol) for stepping up and working themselves silly to get this done.

I had it 3 weeks ago and slight discomfort in my arm. A friend had it who previously had Covid and us 69 this year and he never had a problem whatsoever, not even soreness or tenderness

I had mine this morning. My arms a bit sore.

I think different people react differently to it.

Everybody reacts differently and actually I react differently to the flu jab every year.

Some years have absolutely no side effects at all of the years I feel like absolute crap for a few days.

Everyone's body is different .

People will have different side effects.

The mrs has had hers and she had a sore arm for a day.

Everyone is different.

Central

Side effects are unique to each person and the majority have no significant problem. Lots of other threads on how people here have fared. When you get it, you'll be informed about them and given a leaflet
