Double Masking

According to Sky news, double masking is the new thing. Could it be a ploy by manufacturers to boost sales. Tom has always worn two condoms in clubs to avoid catching a venerable disease. You can't be too careful. Maybe double masking is the way forward. But like these pesky razor blade inventors, triple masking won't be far off...

What about your balls? When they slap against thighs you can catch or transmit all kinds of nasty skin infections , do you wrap them up too ?

What I gather is it might improve masking, but fit of masks matters. Very well fitting masks are best

Layers definitely help, always have. Fauci has been talking about double masking for awhile in the context of the new variants

Or wear a mask that does something.

Wearing two condoms increases the chance of one splitting anyways due to the friction between them.

Condom on, then lube, next condom on, then lube again..

You can't be too careful...

Should never wear two condoms..as increases the risk of infection. people just need to wear one mask but properly

Didn’t everyone get taught in sex Ed at school that 2 condoms is more risky than 1? Break much easier lol.

The more barriers you use (except condoms cos of friction!!) will reduce particles escaping... common sense really

"Yes. It's all over the news. I don't make this nonsense up.."

It actually says a cloth mask over a medical mask. It's not going to happen.

I won't be wearing 2 masks when I go out, I find it difficult to breath through my double layered one's as it is.

It's not something the government's advisors are saying and it's them we should be listening to not anyone dug up by Sky news. Sky news who have one of their top news readers suspended for 6 months for rule breaking. Hmm let's listen to them...not.

Ah the right way to do it is condom, superglue, condom, lube. Binds the layers together to increase the strength. Mind you, got to be careful that you don't confuse the superglue bottle and the lube bottle...

No one's going to check.

It's something I'm choosing to do (two cloth masks, though, I'm low risk and so sticking to washable) because that's the way the evidence seems to be moving.

I'm doing my bit because I can, not because anyone will make me.

"Is it just me or who else find it strange why some news readers like on sky dont wear masks?"

Is it because they're not within two meters and because they have regular tests?

I was reading that's how they made first dates, bake off and a few other shows.

Yes, it's something to take into consideration, and I'm not sure everyone has. It's not the only reason to double mask, though.

Maibe. I found this reason for it too, anchors and reporters take their masks off when they go on air to make sure you can hear and understand us.

Three layers doesn't provide enough protection.

Everyone round here are wearing 5 masks now.

Stay home, protect the NHS, wear 5 masks

If two masks are better than one then three would be safer still, what about four. Hell, let's wear five masks at all times. If it saves just one life then who could disagree?

It is a joke right? Everyone knows two condoms isn't more effective and in fact less.

Another interesting thing about mask effectiveness is that after you wash them (the washable ones obviously), they become more effective. There was a study. I think it was published by Which? around October last year.
