1 hour exercise

Let’s have a positive post in the vaccine section.

Who’s taking their daily 1 hour exercise ?

What you doing and where ?

I’m out on my mountain bike daily, was absolutely bitterly cold yesterday but clears the head and the feel good factor afterwards is a welcome boost, and I appreciate the underfloor heating more on my icicle toes.

My exercise tends to be cycling to work and back... at least until the gyms re-open

Between running, hiit sessions and weight sessions I’m doing way more than an hour a day. Starts off with a 7k run, followed by a hiit session, a mini circuit and then weights. All this before starting work at 7:30... I’ll normally jump back in to my gym at lunch time for a small session of 20 mins to break up the day and get me away from my desk.

Out with my dogs at least twice a day, every day.

We do 4-5 miles in the morning, and 2 in the evening.

I listen to the radio or comedy shows on Netflix with headphones to make it less boring.

When I'm in the shops I actually ho to look at the cakes and biscuits like they're pieces of art in a museum lol! Thinking...niiiice but better on the shelves than on my hips! I was doing so well in the first lockdown OP! Then unfortunately my dad had complications with his health and died in November last year. My parents live in a country of the southern hemisphere. An extremely complicated time and my life became affected indirectly with the pandemic. I turned to food. Have put on 10kgs. Dealing with my dads loss away from family has been immense. However I've kept walking and continue to do my strength training. I've given myself goals and I know I can improve.

Thank you for a great post in this section x

I started off really well in the first lock down doing hiit and yoga on YouTube, then I fell down the stairs and injured my shoulder.

I go walking every day sometimes with my daughter which is nice but does involve a but of bribery

Oh yes...run 3 times per week up to half marathon distance with a goal distance of 2000km this year, bike to & from work, walk on non run days & sometimes on run days as well & squeeze in some resistance training 3 times per week. Fabulous runs & walks last 2 days in the gorgeous winter sun, seeing signs of spring with snowdrops & crocus, geese pairing up & getting aggressive, robins repelling all boarders in their territory...life is good when you look & embrace it.

Love how even a positive thread has to be shit on by some folk ha! That’s the virus forum I suppose

In answer to you OP, we have a home gym my partner put together during the first lockdown. Working from home I’m pretty much in there every day doing a mix of free weights, the multi gym, kettlebells and macebells. When it’s not bloody snowing I ride my horse too. He’s teaching me how to box too but I’ve got noodle arms at the minute

Its playing havoc with my knees to be honest and isn't something I'll continue after the gyms open, I'll go back to weight training and something low impact for fitness.

I'm also doing daily yoga which has pretty much cured a niggling shoulder injury.
