From a covid safety point of view, is it better to get a take away delivered or to pick it up?

Bracknell

Get it delivered and left at your door. No face to face contact then.

Tin town

Kind of depends on the place you're collecting it from, the process they have for collection and the journey to it and back. So probably safer for you to get it delivered.

My thought was the delivery guy is going to be in contact with more people than popping into a restaurant to collect

In a restaurant you are in an enclosed space and touching the door handle. The deliverer is outside

Central

If it's delivered by a motor vehicle emitting pollution, which may exacerbate symptoms, it's better to walk to the restaurant and back, picking it up outside.
