"Clean the child's hands when they are finished playing what's the big problem?. Children need to play and play with others it's an essential part of growing and development, loads of children are still going school loads of parents are still working, shopping ECT far more chance of catching anything from thos instances then an outside play park while the kids get abit of fresh air and have some fun. " I must add I live quite rural so parks don't really get that busy I have no idea what city parks are like they may be compleatly different to what I see around me.

I dont think getting them closed is the answer. Having someone around in a uniform would be helpful though.

" lids will play with an empty box , they dont need swing park equipment , when i was wee we played a scavenger hunt game with crap we found about the garden, some of it had probably blown out of the bin, we had 2 teams 2 camps hid all the bits and then had to try get then back from enemy camp without getting caught . cant for the life of me remember what we called it, but there was running and hiding and social interaction and problem solving and most importantly imagination... you would be amazed how much of all of those things kids have while young before society teaches them about all the stuff they “need” for entertainment

Drove across Edinburgh 6th Jan on business, snow on the ground and about -2 temp, every kids play park area was packed with kids and adults, everybody will use the 1 hour exercise rule to suit their needs. I see groups of adults on mountain bikes and out walking on my daily run, they are clearly not from the same household. We saw in it summer when everybody hit the beaches and parks, people sat at home on furlough thinking fuck it I’m going out. If not sorted by March / April then we will see the same thing happen again. Fingers crossed the vaccinations ramp up

"We took our daughter to the park at 4pm on Saturday and there was only one other family. Hands washed before and after etc. She had a great time. Our garden is grass and it's impossible for me to play with her on such a surface in the winter because it's like a bog. She had just over an hour of running around and having fun before we went home for hot chocolate. The answer is not to go at peak times and be sensible." this

So many people heading out at the peak times. The local one to me was ranked with children over the weekend. Lots of playing together and heading back to parents for snacks & I didn't see any of the parents make them sanitise their hands.

We knew it's be busy earlier. We're the family that goes to the beach on holiday at 3pm till 6 or 7pm, rather than fighting for space at midday AND turning into toast
