So all the hours teachers have spent planning the logistics of mass testing have been wasted.

Now "mini external exams" have been announced after being told all exams cancelled.

Total shambles of organisation by the Government

I'm saying nothing

I've heard a few teachers on the radio saying it would be practically impossible to do,especially if its a big school.

Some teachers, not all. Some are working extremely hard, some well !

The government said it would only take 90 secs per pupil. Seems overly ambitious to me.

Who knew that a simple mechanism wasn't an answer to a complex problem?

I think all teachers are working extremely hard in very challenging circumstances. I never said they weren't. I have signed the petition for teachers to be prioritised for the vaccine.

Teenagers in some schools around our area were already being tested pre-lockdown and they definitely found some asymptomatic cases.

It seems like the only logical solution for the time being if they want to reopen schools before the majority are vaccinated. Although it’s not enforceable and some refused to be tested.

I have had 2 tests myself so far and have spent time explaining to my kids why it is important to be tested for yourself and others.

2 of our local senior schools were tested after Christmas with the expectation of return to school... 10 asymptomatic kids found positive x

I think that's right, the quantity of false negatives those tests produce because they need a high viral load to produce a positive, was reported at 30% of positives missed in the Liverpool trial

It shows the quality of forethought, decision making and management that is atrocious at the top.

Consultation and listening isn't really on the agenda, despite there having been many experienced experts who have given appropriate advice and warnings about the massive amounts of time and money being spent on fanciful pet projects.
