Are we talking wine bottle opener? Long term solution, switch to screw-top bottles.

For an emergency, screws, car keys or serrated knives can all be used to get the cork out.

There is normally a little lip on a tin opener that you can use.

For the future make sure you pick one up in every seaside town gift shop you visit.
