Higham

Twice recently, one this morning.

A person under 50 has claimed their booked for a vaccine and aren't meeting till then and maybe not after for a while!

No one under 50 should even be offered a jab currently unless their in a care setting, even the extremely vunerable seem to be taking a back seat to those in the 70-80yr old group.

So this means this person is must be in a care group!!

Makes me angry someone in that position would make that comment and be on here considering mixing soreading the virus!

I do understand what the OP is saying because there does see to be a few people recently that have said they don't work in the NHS or care home and are well under 50 that are claiming they have had it.

I know people are saying they could have an underlying condition but that group isn't being done yet.

"Critical worker's, underlying medical conditions."

Its only care home staff any front line NSH. People under 75 in the extreme risk group are 4th on the list.

I assume many people (like that) are just lying about getting the vaccine, thinking it will get them meets.

I do think that is very likely and I know people have said they have had messages from people claiming to have been vaccinated and wanting to meet.

I also know it is possible that people may have been in the right time at the right place when there was some vaccine that needed using before it would have gone to waste. But the amount of people but don't seem to work in care or the nhs but a claiming to have had it does seem very high.

"as 99% of guys lie about their status, so i'm not going to believe guys about their vaccination status"

I also think people have totally misunderstood how the vaccine works.

Somebody else having the vaccine doesn't mitigate my personal risk that much at the moment until we have herd immunity. Because the vaccine protects the individual rather than others.

All NHS workers are being offered it by their trusts not just clinical so maybe getting it that way too.

Either way very irresponsible to think it’s just back to normal soon as you’ve had it straight away! xx

It’s scary how many times I’ve seen people think they can act normal straight away again!

Not all nhs workers are being offered it it is only front line NHS workers at the moment or those that are being offered it because there is a surplus and it needs to be used. The priority is the 1st four vulnerable groups.

Any NHS worker can book in our local hospitals if you have your employment number.

They have rolled it out to target the more vulnerable staff and then the key areas and now it’s open to everyone x"

So anyone even non clinical or essential staff like cleaners or porters?

Agency workers in a hospital setting (ie covid ward cleaners) are also, rightly getting them. I know a 30(something) female that does this work and has received her first vaccination. It makes sense as they are as much on the front line as dr's nurses etc.

I totally agree with this and as it should be.

I think what people have a problem with is people who are saying they are not in the shielding group, Over 80 or nhs staff usually they have had the vaccine followed by "so does that mean I can meet"
