Feeling down because I'm keeping to measures but see others doing what they want. I'm starting to think I'm stupid and a laughing stock due to not seeing family. Don't want sympathy just should I also join them?

Most people are respecting the rules. I don't know anyone isn't. Be ruled by what you know is the right thing to do, to prevent things getting worse. Many people have no symptoms, so can infect someone they love, which could mean a death.

Look after yourself, as it is a really hard time for you

maybe try a break from social media for a bit and you will be less likely to see it ... i deactivated mine last week ... i know people are still breaking the rules but not being confronted with it repeatedly is helping

I just feel peer pressure from friends who use lines like " I take it you wouldnt be up for it" as if I'm in the wrong!

Op you are not a laughing stock of stupid. You're doing what you think is best.

In my opinion people are concentrating too much on perceived rule breakers. We need to be united to get through this and understand that the virus is going to spread because certain people need to interact with each other. All we can do is the best we can to protect ourselves and the people we love. Finger pointing and blaming other people leads precisely nowhere and creates terrible divisions at a time when we need to pull together

Yes, I've seen this pandemic bring out the worst in some and the best in others

OP, I can only offer you my gut instinct on this, there will come a time when covid-19 is no longer a worry or concern within the population.

For me personally I just wish to look back at that time and feel I have integrity. I think a lot of people in our hobby or indeed the wider population have tarnished their reputation with either their views or actions.

The right path is rarely the easiest but it will give the rewards and the people around you will be the kind of people you need for a happy life.

In honesty, fuck the idiots... work with what you have control over x

100% agree with the above but also fuck what other people think, you know your own mind and should do what you think is right and what you need to live with after this whole awful episode is over. You aren't alone in how you feel, many people have stuck with the rules and advice and watched others not doing so, yes it is disheartening and yes it's difficult to maintain enthusiasm for doing the right thing as it drags on and on, but it's not forever, it will get better xx

Just because some people are being self entitled pricks it doesn't excuse the rest of us from behaving sensibly.

Also, there's enough danger out in the world anyways, if I got seriously ill now a vaccine is coming, I'd also feel like a moron on top of the illness. Look after yourself, it will end.

Be proud of your resilience and integrity and keep going for as long as you wish to, the light is there at the end of the tunnel and we can all pull together and ride it out

couple, us we him her.

OP to a lesser or greater extent we are all feeling the same,I know that today I have woken up feeling very down and after 37 year's of working I am struggling to find a reason to get out of bed anymore and go to work.

We have neighbours we have and are blatantly taking the piss right throughout the whole covid crisis and it anger's me that we can't see family.

But the only comfort I can offer is you are not alone, and what you are doing by following rules is 100% the correct thing to be doing keep it up and don't let the fuckers get to you.
