A missed opportunity to dispel the conspiracy theorists rhetoric.

Liz and Phil should have trotted up to a vaccination centre and been shown having the jab by a trained vaccinator

Love or hate them (I am in no way a fan of the monarchy), I would put any money on the fact that under Elizabeth’s direction they will stick to the same directions as the general public.

One thing she has always done incredibly well from Ww2 onwards is sensed the right thing to do at key moments of national crisis. I will give her she is exceptionally well considered at those moments.

As others have said, they are entitled to have the jab through their age, I’m pleased she’s had it and in doing so demonstrates to all in her age bracket the importance of getting vaccinated.

NHS and other public sector workers where given a pay freeze during a decade of austerity while the queen has had an increase in the annual sovereign grant every year from £31 million in 2009 to £84 million this year. I also think they've not had any special treatment, just that the fact they are both Ancient is why the qualify, they seem to have been vaccinated within the normal timescale for their age group.

It was a genuine question as i did not know that there were those who were vaccinated at home.

It does make sense and no it does not offend me.

In the case of Liz and Phil then as a public relations exercise it would have been good to have seen them being vaccinated.

As a few have already said many people admire the Royals and would think that if its safe to give to them them its safe for me.

And... it’s a genuine answer.

The best example to any 99 year old who’s had serious medical issues is that they a) get vaccinated and b) get it done in their home.

The queens PR has always centred around doing as we expect our subjects to do. I think they got it completely right.

I don’t want Philip inspiring other vulnerable 99 year olds to save their health visitor a trip.

absolutely nothing it’s just another way to bash the monarchy to be honest you get bored with the same old crap people come out with the quicker people realise that they are born privileged and with that comes a whole different way of life for them as to what most of us live that’s life i suppose just get over it it’s not as if the royals are going to slum it on east jet or some old p&o ferry only the best for them that’s the way it’s always been and always will GSTQ
