Angling

Angling has been given the go ahead to continue as a form of exercise .... just dont take a flask of tea / coffee with you and certainly no sandwiches as thats a picnic.

Does that mean angling shops can open?

On my “exercise” along the beach (coffee less) can i now expect to see a wave of anglers shimmering on the shore much like the local woods carpark is now crammed with (coffee less) families.

couple, us we him her.

As long as people aren't driving long distances to go fishing as it kinda takes the piss otherwise.

I would say if the fishing location is more than a 30min drive then shouldn't go.

But being outside in fresh air good.

My workplace is 15 miles away and I can drive there in 30 mins. But two women were fined for going 5 miles away? How do that reconcile?

Ok ten mins them my point is.

I live by the sea and people drive bloody miles to go fishing, there's a guy who does charter trips to sea fish at end of my road can't see how that should be allowed and as a side note people are still visiting the marina to go out on their boat's and sailing!!!

Cars parked up with Surrey parking permits on windscreens.

6 hours is nothing.

A friend of mine thinks nothing of sitting on a local lake for 24 hours and in the past has gone to France and spent two weeks carp fishing on the same lake.

I think there's no limits on distance for exercise, bar flying. If it's the Derbyshire police again, ref women with hot drinks, they've since relented.

It’s the mixed messaging as well.

Your told to act as if you have Covid but not a problem if you want to go fishing.

What about Golf then? Hang gliding? Windsurfing?

I would have thought that going to work is classed as essential?

I went five miles on my wheelchair on Wednesday (yes, in a bit of a loop from home and back) but it's not really exercise if I just go to the end of the road and back

I know what my parents get up to in their beach shelter. Fishing rods are definitely out and cast, but they aren't fishing

(And yes as a daughter I wish my mum never told me!!!)

Poor sods. Oh, I'm forgetting. they love getting into the spirit of being dragged along by their lip and putting up a heroic fight in a participation sport. If they are lucky they can also experience something similar to covid breathing problems while being photographed in the arms of the skilful captor.

It's not all sitting on a stool for the other player in the 'sport'. He gets some exercise in proportion to his expertise!

That long ago, I have lost the ability to judge what is large and what is not

They travelled from Nottinghamshire into Derbyshire for their walk with a coffee, Derbyshire coppers are a bit keen they were filming people in the Peak District with drones during 1st lockdown, the world truly has gone to hell in a handcart !

You can still play Golf in Scotland during lockdown just not in the rest of the U.K. Hence Trump wanting to visit Scotland on the 20/1 to visit his resort.
