Why am I getting a NHS text message for a flu jab ?

Surely they should be using manpower to vaccinate for Covid during this national crisis.

Not much chance of that sat at home in front of the fire watching Netflix.

They’ve cancelled cancer treatment, surely they get ill and become a drain on the NHS.

they haven't cancelled cancer treatment so please don't you such inflammatory statements!

Some services are limited and some patients are being treated in other settings because it is deemed safer for them.

My best friends Dad is bed ridden and had at least 4 appointments cancelled, I spoke with him on Sunday about it.

Flu vaccines are delivered at a multitude of venues, giving you lots of choice about time and place. If someone gets flu, they may cause substantially higher impact on the NHS than the jab does. They may also infect others who may get seriously ill and die. Any of them may also get a subsequent Sars-Cov-2 infection, which they are less able to withstand, due to a compromised immune system and health. Both may cause pneumonia, which could also impose substantial impact to health and the NHS.

Many things are often done in parallel, with the flu vaccine delivery being fully possible at many chemists in supermarkets that aren't delivering the covid-19 jab.

If you get a message then you’re eligible.

It will prevent you getting flu which will potentially prevent a hospital admission and make the NHS flow better. And you get less sick.

Just get it. Simples.

I think you will find anybody that works in the nhs will tell you people not having the flu jab and getting sick with flu puts far more pressure on them than the people that do get a reaction.

Why does so many who work with the NHS not take the flu jab.

They see the problems it causes that's from a constant and nurses that see it every year when they start the flu jab
