I just wanted to say to all those in the virus forum who's opinions I have clashed with (and my options are matched by my wifes)

I can say hand on heart I do not let this affect my opinion of your comments in the general forums one bit.

I won't name anyone in particular but there are multiple members I habe clashed with in here, who's post in the general forums I find interesting, educational, funny and who's opinions on swinging matters I have come to very much respect.

I totally understand if members do not feel the same way about us and respect that decision.

I just wanted to put this out there as for the most part, the fab forums have been a great tool while myself and Babygirl.

They have helped us explore our fantasies and work out what our boundaries, desire ect exactly are when we finally get a chance to swing.

Wishing you all a happy new years eve and a prosperous new year.

The problem I’ve found is people that don’t agree on this virus gets abused it’s sad that as adults we can’t debate anymore

Coz maybe that way we learn more rather than being told something and expected to believe it

Even if it doesn’t make sense..

This post wasn't to lay blame on anyone, simply to acknowledge that although I may disagree with members on Corona Virus, I may greatly respect they opinion in other matters.

And jopefully in encourage others to feel or acknowledge here that they feel the same

i think part of the problem is despite it being a virus forum, how we think the virus should be dealt with is pretty much politics and politics always gets heated

totally agree though (and not just on a forum) ... debate and disagreement is part of life , doesn’t mean you write people off completely because you don’t agree with them on some issues

There are plenty of people we know who’s political/social opinions are anathema to me but I like them as people, so we just learn to ignore/turn the other cheek as its not worth getting wound up and losing them as family or friends.

Its good that you are not letting a difference of opinions on one subject get in the way of enjoying your time here.

I’ll be honest, I see first hand the damage that the senseless thinking contained within some of your opinions does. I question your responsibility, your selfishness , I wonder why anyone would wish to downplay the danger posed by this pandemic by being so vocal in pushing lies and a public perception that will only generate more suffering and death when added together.

It’s probably due to a need for attention, a bitterness based on what individually you’ve lost during this time. I appreciate everyone is suffering currently but in the grand scale of things, your loses are fairly minor.

Sadly I probably find the level of ugliness in those traits too great to take the olive branch, I probably see this post as yet more attention seeking.

The best I can offer is a happy new year without any emotion and a promise that if you, your wife or indeed family ever ended up in our ICU we’d do everything to save you. That’s as good as I can get, sorry.

I respect how you feel but unsure what you mean about pushing lies? Any data i have ever posted has come from the governments own websites.

Please don’t be naive.

You take single statistics is solitude, from your armchair with zero first hand experience or insight then push a narrative that seeks to down play risks or the threat this virus poses. When added together that alters public perception, it encourages people to ignore guidance, take risks and let’s not beat around the bush, that kills people, often not those taking the risk. Why do that in a vastly unqualified capacity?

You may be blessed not to have buried any love ones, you haven’t had the ordeal of watching your partner, kids, parents or whoever lie face down whilst exhausted nurses and doctors manage every single bodily function for perhaps months just in an effort to keep them alive...

1000 families are being told today that their loved one hasn’t made it, 200,000 families are sat praying that their rapidly deteriorating loved one might just pull through.

Tomorrow it will be slightly worst, and the next day, and so on...

I return to work this evening for another 14 hours straight, I know We’ll lose another 10 plus patients this evening and I’ll spend time with each of their relatives.

This isn’t a number to me or indeed reality, saying as a % of the population it’s insignificant doesn’t make it so. The statistics that matter to me and every person in my city are things like we have 12 beds left, we have 32 admissions coming in, we can’t take oxygen flow over 80 due to the load on the system etc.

You have google, personal annoyances and desire to blame or criticise those trying to safeguard... that’s it, nothing more. Yet, you feel qualified to itry to nfluence peoples opinion regardless of risk.

You should be responsible, that would earn a level of respect.

I see that the NHS are claiming they are on a knife-edge with staff absences, etc, sorry do they want us all to throw ourselves off a cliff so we can’t be a possible burden to them ?

The NHS need to start to be accountable for their own shortcomings, if you are between 58,000 and 86,000 (depending which article you read) doctors and nurses short then surely you need to look at your recruitment policy and change how you do things.

I’m sorry if people think I’m being harsh, but we are constantly being guilt-tripped because the NHS is badly run and as a tax payer who’s 20% of the taxes I pay go to fund the NHS then I am allowed an opinion if I think the 5th largest employer allocates our taxes badly.

It's a bit difficult when we're not allowed to recruit any more and the places to train more of our own doctors and nurses have been slashed but it is becoming increasingly harder to recruit from abroad. Nursing is also becoming an increasingly unattractive profession due to pay freezes, again something the NHS itself has no control over and is constantly fighting against.

Ten years of austerity under the Tories is one major reason, as with police and fire all have been cut..

Not to say that any large public sector does not have structural issues and things could be done more efficiently etc..

But fundamentally if the funding to the service is cut by central government then there will be staff shortages, that's not in the influence of the front line to change apart from as voters..

Likewise. Sorry OP, but your opinions have regularly made it quite clear that I, and others like me who are vulnerable, are inconsequential, that our lives have no value. That may not be your intention but when I hear it time and time and time again it makes a "hey no hard feelings" stick in my throat somewhat.

That I can totally understand, but it was never a "no hard feelings" sentiment i was trying to express. Simply saying that while I may not agree with you on here, I won't let that jade my opinion of your posts on swinging matters.

I was also not asking for the same in return.

+1

.. incidentally, 2019 the NHS paid £4.9 Billion in litigation with a real cost bordering £9 Billion. Imagine the cost when all the lovelies who`ve finished rattling their saucepans decide to punt in a claim for negligence this past 12 months !

Isn't the NHS wonderful, it may well be, but it`s also seriously flawed which many choose not to acknowledge.

No even that is a misinterpretation of what I had wrote.

I was simply pointing out to those that i disagree with in the virus forums, that i do not let this jade my opinion of your posts in the swinging forums.

For example. One memeber who I exchanged probably almost aggressive responses babk and forth in the virus section.

That same member wrote some advice in the lounge that was in my opinion the best possible advice given.

I quoted their messsge with thumbs up.

My point was as simple as that.

And am not say "no hard feelings"

I am not asking for anything from anyone.

I am simply saying that that I (Daddy) will never let my difference of opinions with anyone within rhe virus forum, stop me from taking or backing up good advice in the other forums

People views on the virus forum are definitely what I look at when messaging people. If your view is one of stupidity , denial , government conspiracy or a let people get on with it and see what happens person then I wouldn’t care what your views are on the swinging scene.

Life comes before swinging and those that jeopardise it are not people I want around me.

Debate is one thing but when people put out disinformation and promote behaviours that undermines the efforts and sacrifices society has had to make then they need calling out. We do have a free and independent press in this country despite what some would choose to believe.
