"Absolutely. If figure that if my grandparents spent 6 years on a war footing during The Blitz, with rationing, military service, deprivation, getting bombed out and seeing neighbours blown to pieces, etc, then I should be able to handle sitting at home watching Netflix and eating ice cream. Of course, it does help having a job which can be done anywhere with an internet connection, but even when I was off work for over a year many years ago, I thrived fine with dial up internet (28.8K!), books, TV, libraries, music, games, etc. 1 year, 5 years, 10, never : Makes no odds to me really. I'll adapt. When your choices are limited to non-existent, you can either fight yourself or go with the flow. We are not all programmed the same way. The "Humans are social creatures and must have social contact" isn't true for everyone. Some actively avoid it. Others like me are ambivalent to it. I've often thought I Am Legend with Will Smith is a really cool movie, and could fancy myself in the role if need be (minus the dog and other spoilers) " Thinking about that scene has made me sad

"How long would you be willing to stay in lock down for? Could you do it for another year? " Yep I could do it for another year if I had to. No, it's not great but moaning and bitching about it doesn't make the virus go away.

"How long would you be willing to stay in lock down for? Could you do it for another year? " but we havent been in lockdown at all really.... Perhaps that is the problem. Even the first "lockdown" compared to other countries wasn't that restrictive.

"No ... the first one was ok and clear.. along with the sun.. The second one is a shambles .. to confusing and plus it’s cold dark and wet .. we are a social animal and to much isolation can send u mad .. even if they opened the pubs and made us stay outside, it would be something .. and I’m not a sceptic to say the virus isn’t here, it is... but people are starting to lose the will " I completely agree. As humans we are not "designed" to be isolated and not to socialise with others. I have to go to work every day but I can't have a life away from there. I've starting to get really jaded about the whole sorry mess!

The cure is now more severe than the disease and is making less sense day by day...

"I've done 2 years, another year of the same doesn't bother me. Can't face another year of people whining about it though." 2 years?!

I'm a bit of an introvert and though I like being around others, I don't feel any need to be, and sometimes have to fight myself to go out and socialise. Even then I sometimes just sit with my mates and listen to them talk. So, in a way I think I've been lucky as lockdown hasn't really affected me. Not seeing people hasn't bothered me that much (it's more the fact that I can't rather than the fact I haven't if you know what I mean) and I can work from home, which I love as there is no commute, so I've saved money and I see more of my kids.

"How long would you be willing to stay in lock down for? Could you do it for another year? " The country can't take anymore of it. It's not the being in lockdown it's the long term after effects.
