Apparat from the obvious fucking somebody’s hot wife, what you missed ?

With me it’s a nice Sauna or steam room session after the Gym or outside exercise.

Please feel free to add what you’ve missed.

"Being able to eat at my local cricket club "

Agreed, local cricket was missed this year, fingers crossed for next season. Think I’m still owed £40 from kids all star cricket that didn’t happen,

Luton

Hugging my friends, being intimate with the partner I don't live with (that kills me inside slowly), hosting real life polyamory socials, running the Polyday conference, doing kink with my kink partners, hanging out with the polycule, not being scared on my morning commute, having a "fucking pint" in the pub on a bad day, being able to go on holiday with my nesting wife, her being able to see her regular partners, swinging clubs, gigs and my musician friends.

Basically, my life apart from work. I like my job but it's never been the be all and end all.

I'd rather life be in hold the dead, though.

In no particular order

Clubs

Eating out in big groups

Supermarkets being 24 hours

One of my hobbies closing off and on as restrictions changed.

Fab group socials

The dog groomers being open I have 5 dogs and have neither the expertise or inclination to do this myself.

I'm sure there are more, but I realise this pales into insignificance compared to those of you who desperately missing loved ones.

What do I miss most?

That universal intimate touch of a HUG. Popping round for just a chat to reconnect. It's not the same on zoom or the phone.

This is the first year in 16 that I haven't been to India to run my workshops, 3-4 times a year normally 3 weeks watch trip. Doing them by soon is a far cry from doing them there, the interaction, the laughter, the warmth of being invited back to meet their families. The rest here is much as it was, still get out canoeing, camping, motorbike, work had changed and had to restart all over as self employed again and slowly try to rebuild the business, but it'll come together much like before. Fab hasn't changed in a few years for me. I met one person nearly a year go which was close to the kinda fab norm before too as age filter played a large part and not into meeting many. For those into the fab social side and many partners then I can see how different and difficult it's been.

Popping round to another members home and playing, missing the club scene,

Not rushing out to buy a 2021 diary this time got a 2020 with club nights booked along with hotels but mainly empty.

I've worked all the way through so have been well occupied.

I miss human contact the most, but not playing live music has been hard - this has been the longest break I've had from it in 40 years.

This is probably going to seem stupid, but I miss being able to leave the house without a mask, going into a clothes shop and touching the items, seeing friends randomly in town and being able to hug them in greeting. I’m a tactile person and respond better when I can see people and their reactions in conversation. I feel covid has taken this away from me if I’m honest.
