"What 'mass' vaccination programme? Whilst it's started its stretching it to call it that.. Someone might infer your making a link between this third wave and a mass vaccination programme in which might look like some sort of tin foil hat wearers conspiracy bollocks..?" The largest roll out of a vaccine in history - the very words of your beloved NHS, but nope, defo not a "mass vaccine programme". With all due respect, not only do you have your head in the sand, youve poured in ballast, concrete and water along with it.

"Of course it will be because you all got together over xmas/NY, and even if YOU didnt it will be because of those inconsiderate people who did. That said, please do rest assured that any deterioration in populas health will not be in anyway related a mass vaccination programme." Of course, it's down to people who don't take precautions. We all know how it spreads, so yes.

Dominic Raab warns of risk of third wave. https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2020/nov/29/dominic-raab-warns-uk-risk-third-wave-coronavirus-video" Firstly it doesn't take a genius to work out there will be further waves, and lockdowns....3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th would be no surprise at all. Secondly, I'm making an assumption that it is not disputed that the virus exists and that it is spread by people who are in close proximity to eachother. So it would seem reasonable that after a month of people cramming into shops, and round tables, and in pubs and in sales.... That infection rates would go up. By xmas I can't imagine more than 300k people will have been vaccinated... Though very happy to be corrected on that.

That's the trouble with assumptions. But do tell me which bit are you disputing.? That the virus exists or that it is spread by people in close proximity to eachother? Or both perhaps?

Restrictions: Having to wear a face mask - why make us do that longer than we need to? It allows scrotes a perfect disguise and renders CCTV pretty useless. What benefit is there in there for 'them'? Closes businesses - why do that for longer than we need to? It removes tax revenue and increases benefit costs at the same time. What benefit is there for 'them'? Stops large family gatherings - why do that longer than we need to? What possible benefit is that to 'them'?

" Masking faces could be about training AI to recognise faces whilst covered, in the long run making identity concealment a tougher task. To that end, distancing people apart is required for the early stages of that learning process, so individuals can be more easily differentiated.

"I am going to say I don't give a s**t anymore. In the North of England we have been in lockdown or Tier 3 for so long now it doesn't matter whether there is a third wave or not it isn't going to restrict our movements anymore than they already are. We won't notice the difference until we are move to tier 0" You might notice a difference if/when you catch covid

"What if the vaccine is a placebo to make us happy over Christmas and winter and natural herd immunity is the agenda with the disclaimer you can meet up but stay at home, you can go to work but work from home. So if you die the goverment isn't responsible. " Trying to keep a secret that big from the entire world just wouldn't be possible.

Yes, I have private healthcare, and that actually costs me less than should I of decided to fund the NHS through extortionate rates of taxation in its numerous forms. The NHS staff at a grass roots level, for the vast majority, I tip my hat to, we share a common interest and many of us identify with the staff on the ground floor, but as we go up the chain of command those interests at the summit of NHS management do not align with those at ground level. Beyond that but taking into account everyones close personal identificatin with the NHS through its grass roots staff, makes the NHS a HUGE political instrument. People will take criticism of the NHS very personally as they see that as being directed at the very staff they identify with, when in actual fact critique of the NHS is more often than not directed at the unseen 6 figure salary recipients and major decision makers who i'd be surprised if anyone chose to adorn in the same way as weve seen for many ground level staff.

We can find the published flu infection numbers but my guess is that flu season will have low levels of infection this year, due to the lifestyle restrictions people are living. There's potential for an unpredicted strain to attack but restrictions should still keep it under bounds, to some extent

People who previously never gave two hoots about who died of what in their whole lives are now interested in arguing about causes of death statistics...and hopefully washing their hands a bit more often.

I find it amusing that apparently it was fine for people to meet up over Xmas but suddenly now that London and areas of the South are going into Tier 3 Xmas should be cancelled. Call me a cynic but it is almost like the North didn't count. Like there is a North/South divide.
