Amazing that people are suspicious of a vaccine that has been developed by hundreds of scientists who have spent years studying in college, gone through rigorous testing procedures and is being analysed by every country in the world.

Yet Saturday night they'll happy stick a few lines of white powder up their nose, that's grown by a poor farmer in central America, smuggled up some guys are, gets mixed with rat poison repeatedly....and its no questions asked...

Yes I will be taking it

I was initially ry, but having read widely over the past few weeks, I am now confident & will be booking in as soon as I am able. But as I'm not front line health care or in any vulnerable group, that's likely a few months off.

"Sure, but by the time it's available to me it will probably be 2022"
end of 2021 I'd say. depends how fast they get through the other areas first. holohan was on yesterday saying good chance of been at level 1 in April. that would do the finest. to get some type of immunity so many will have to accept vaccine and that's still highly questionable.

heard this morning chap tested negative, had another test after a week of isolating, tested positive. isolated for 10 days, was told by HSE to return to work monday. his boss requested he have a test before returning, boss paid for it on Monday. he still tested positive. boss rang the HSE and they said covid could remain in system for 16 weeks and if we revealed that info nobody would be in work. this covid situation gets more obscene by the day.

Biotechnologist here & work in pharma sector. A vaccine is a low dose of the virus which elicits an immune response so your body recognises the real virus when it attacks & can produce immune cells when infected with the real thing.

Lol. Na. It only contains messenger ribose nucleic acid from the virus to tell your cell to produce immune cells to fight the virus. It is a newer form of a vaccine.

Remember what they did in the golden days with the MMR vaccination? Manufacture it so it leaves 2 scars on your arm. So you can tell you got both the vaccine and the booster.

They could well do that if they wanted to have proof who got it.

I will be... my daughter has been told she will be offered it in the first round of vaccinations.

She has been practically stuck at home with all her social outlets closed to her. There has been no support from adult social care and if she didn't live with me she would be totally isolated.. so if it's a step towards her being able to live her life then oh yes.

Delaying her having her flu jab. As been told she will be offered the vaccine asap. And not sure if they can do them both close together x

When the company manufacturing the vaccine has legally had T&C's underwritten that it cannot be sued in the future, it doesn't reflect major confidence in their own product !!!

Will wait and see, as they've had missed after affects of the vaccine for those who've been given it !!!

Major companies like these, can't find a cure for a common flu, but yet can come up with a vaccine for a pandemic, makes you think hmmm !!!

Totally different kinds of virus. If you take the trouble to gain a basic grounding, you'd know that. Additionally they were perfectly aware that 0.004% of people have an allergic reaction to it. It's not serious, isn't anaphylactic shock, and everyone including the two nurses on Tuesday recovered quickly.

I'm classified vulnerable & told I should really have the flu jab this year so after lots of persuasion, for the first time ever I did!

Not sure if the same will apply for the vaccine but after talks with a friend who is an involved micro biologist I don't think it'll do any harm not to & personally I'd prefer to wait longer.

Everyone to their own I say, it's absolutely your choice. Please note I'm not one of the anti & certainly not looking to put anyone off, stir things up, debate or argue, it's just my choice.

What does it make you think?

We don't have a cure for covid or the flu but we now have vaccines for both. We have a covid vaccine in part because of the years of flu research
