I appreciate there are a multitude of disadvantages and tragedies etc caused by the lockdowns, tiers and social distancing.

But anyone else feeling an amount of trepidation, or anxiety even, for the end of the working from home/staying at home, cosing up and not socializing. Knowing that you arent missing out as no one else is doing anything else. The lack of pressure to go out or spend money. The return of traffic and protests and crowds.... more rubbish, pollution spread around, Im sure there are other things I have appreciated/am enjoying it whilst it lasts....

I said to someone the other day that I actually miss the first lockdown.

People were actually doing what was asked of them.

Basically no traffic on the roads apart from people who couldn’t work from home like myself.

Courtesy. I miss that and will miss that. Our street had a whatsapp group where we’d all see if anyone needed anything and checking in on each other.

Family virtual quiz is highly missed and so is virtual pub night.

I’m waffling now lol

Look after each other and have a merry Christmas

No reason why people cant still do the family quiz night type thing. Sounds like something to keep up.

I found I walked more locally which was great. And had more picnics than expensive lunches out.

There have been a lot of good things about lockdown, I have been out in the nice weather more. Having more time to myself. No commuting and less stress in some ways. However it has been weird only talking to people via video and the lack of socialising can get me down. I have been lucky that I can work from home and I really appreciate the hard work by my employer.

It will need a period of adjustment again when this is all over.

Does everyone think they will have to go back to a full on commute now?

Don't want to ever go back to the office.

Can do my job entirely from home.

Can do meetings via conferencing software.

Saved tons on travel costs to the point where I'm wondering if having a car is worth it anymore.

Really can't see the point going back. There's nothing for me there anymore, Covid or not.

In my happy place

Ive got mixed feelings

Im have very little family and my friends arent nearby.

Been working from home all the time.

It feels like a punishment.

And i feel crap being single. No chance to meet anyone... Is this my life now?

There have been some positives of lockdown- the lack of traffic on the roads through lockdown 1 was bliss, and the lack of door to door salesmen and jehovahs witnesses was also a big plus.
