Tier 2. London is too important economically to be placed in Tier3.

Fingers crossed for Tier 1 though (some MPs are pushing for it but very unlikely to happen).

As the tiering seems to be ranked according to your health authority Kent would appear to be heading for Tier 3 even though its mainly only 2 areas (Swale and Thanet) that have the majority of the cases.

At least it may stop the DFL’s from heading this way (if they follow guidance), the major importers of Covid to the area.

Going to be a lot of upset people today.

Early indications seem to place the majority into Tier 2 and 3. Very few places will get Tier 1.

Where I live people haven't taken a blind bit of notice of lockdown so I can't see they will be doing so with tiers either. *sigh*

They are always the first ones moaning that they can't go to the pub etc.

Easing the lockdown is already going to be a risky business.

Would you believe (actually yes you probably would) that several of my neighbours have been travelling out of the area across the border into Wales for the pubs??!!!!

I think 3. We were tier one in the middle of a vast area of 3s all the 3s came to our area and now the rate is out of control

Where I live its 82 per 100k. The region is 169 per 100k. So in theory going off the old measures we should be tier 1 but I suspect we will be put back into tier 2 as we were previously.

Hopefully they will organise the tier purely based on the data not geographical biased.

People are really sick the last thing needed is any unfairness in the revised tier system.

I've been off work since March , bar 6 weeks in the summer , I work for a late night venue .

Anyway my boss announced this morning that we are reopening next week , that in accordance with the guidelines we will now be offering "subtancial meals" (burger and chips if he has his way) and I'm to be the Chef

I haven't worked in a commercial kitchen for donkeys years, although we do have a kitchen it's very basic and unused bar the occasional buffet for private events but I guess as with many similar establishments he's at a point where it's becoming unsustainable to stay close and he is having to adopt some drastic measures to get some cash in the tills . ( we're in tier 2 )

Shaking my head in despair that people take all this tier stuff seriously. We live in a free country not China or North Korea. So do what you want when you want and meet as many people as you want. Easy

Mortality rate of covid is less than 3 % if any of our sons scored 97% in a test I am not going to be shouting at them about the 3 %!!!

Not allowed to see friends and family though. The resteictions placed on pubs now make it virtually impossible for many do operate

And people wonder why we had another national lockdown after the tier system failed last time.

I'm sure 97% isn't something you achieve in tests very often.
