Men are at more risk of dying then women

Anyone seen anything that explains why men are dying more then women? I just realised that sadly three women I know have lost their husbands, I wondered if this was coincidence so looked it up and apparently it has been all over the world that men are more likely to get serious effects and even die. So sad but I can’t see anything explaining why.I’d appreciate links if you have

Not sure there is a complete understanding yet as to why.

Some clear identifiers around lifestyle are probably related. Populations in China for example where smoking is predominantly a male habit. Means more men will die. I should imagine this is having an effect in other countries where the demographic has a larger percentage of male smokers.

Other things like obesity might also come into it in some countries. Many of the other health issues put a greater risk and men have more cardiovascular disease.

There are various differences with the immune systems of men and women. Estrogen being higher in women and men having more testosterone. The immune systems respond slightly differently and at different speeds. Although this is still being researched I dont think a definitive answer has been reached yet with regard Covid.

Age is a general factor and been identified as one of the biggest risks in the general population. Often couples are younger female, older male. So on the balance of probabilities if all else where equal the man would be more likely to die, just because he's older and the relative differences this has to the body.

Isn't it thought it's more of a blood desease rather than a pulmonary disease...and men are more likely to suffer from cardio vascular problems.

Explained to me in a similar way by a lady who is far more intelligent than I could hope to be...hence the very simple way I've explained it

Not sure whether they would sell them. They have a lot of people to vaccinate, but also their vaccine hasnt gone through the regulatory requirements to legally use it in the UK or EU.

Vaccines that are considered 'safe' to use have to go through clinical trials that are published and shared with regulatory authorities.

The vaccine used in China hasnt been done this way and if the chinese authorities have proven to themselves it is safe that is not clear to the outside world when they started using it. They have in their law the right to vaccinate circumventing the level of scrutiny that would usually be required if there is a significant requirement for national security etc. ( I cant quote Chinese law in detail here )

I know I wouldn’t be getting a vaccine anytime soon, there are vids on fb where some people literally have a black foot from bruising and their skin opening up from trialing vaccines. Boring as it is, safest bet it following the rules, Windows open at work make sure everyone wears their masks and wash your hands!

Yeh I guess there are loads of reasons really that men could be at more risk, shame they haven’t got the true answers yet though could help men improve their odds- maybe.

Best to avoid the antivaxx BS that has been peddled. At least social media companies and governments taking more action against people who are endangering public health with blatant propaganda.

The trialled vaccines have very high safety levels

And what is the provenance of these videos?! If people were getting such issues from the vaccine trials, we'd know about it. I'd suggest the FB videos are absolute BS. Why would an intramuscular vaccine cause bruising on the foot for heaven's sake??? Which large muscle are they injecting in the foot? For the love of God, please do some proper research! This sort of comment is just propagating unnecessary fear.
