Why do cases matter?

They are nothing be flawed PCR tests with a massive number of false positives. All they have is an epidemic of cases.

These are not cases of proved infection or sickness just a statistical nonsense from running a test that cannot determine infections for too many amplification cycles.

The orange one is still responsible for the country and its people. Citizens are never responsible for their leaders individual actions. He has stoked the fires, lit others and ensured enough fuel was thrown on to them.

Now he is doing nothing about reducing the catastrophe as his sole focus is helping himself by preventing his successor taking interim power, to manage the recovery for the country. He's wasting resources in the legal system, at any cost to the wellbeing of the people.

As for the invalid trope thrown out ad nauseum about the PCR tests being meaningless by the other poster, that's just BS, as has been substantiated every single time they insist on posting the same tired nonsense.

Yeah yeah...every single one of your thousands of so called 'experts' that have bad-mouthed the PCR tests and questioned their accuracy, effectiveness and viability have been debunked, discredited and publicly humiliated. They really should hang their heads in shame for disagreeing with mainstream health experts. The science is settled and there is no room for debate or questioning the people who have the health of the entire world at heart. ....so think on the next time you bring an alternative opinion to the forum.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)

PCR is a method used to amplify DNA. All you need is your DNA, primers (small pieces of DNA) complementary to two sites in your DNA (one on each strand), a heat-stable polymerase (enzyme that can make DNA according to a certain template), nucleotides and a heat-cycler. By adding all the ingredients and heating and cooling the mixture in certain preprogrammed cycles, you can amplify the DNA between the two primers.

The number of double stranded DNA pieces is doubled in each cycle, so that after n cycles you have 2^n (2 to the n:th power) copies of DNA. For example, after 10 cycles you have 1024 copies, after 20 cycles you have about one million copies, etc.

Was trying to stick to the same principles for some time, but when seeing a lot of experts being silenced, and experience the flaws in the testing yourself, just to be told you're not entitled an opinion seems a bit harsh to say the least.

But you think it's flawed ??

How did you come to that conclusion ?

And I'm a dictator because you don't understand how a test works ?

There might be some weird logic in there ....

Nah ... There isn't

Never said I don't know how the test work, what I said is: "don't fully understand".

Being a front line worker and a frequent traveler, we've been tested more times than most of the people on this forums and that's how we came to the conclusion the testing is totally flawed.

I'm simply asking how you can say something is flawed when you don't understand it dispite the fact it's a "gold stamdard" test accepted worldwide

I could understand if you had 20 years experience in genetic research that you could have an opinion but you don't."

I don't need 20 years of experience in genetic research to express an opinion. My opinion is formed on personal experience with testing and I am fully entitled to one.

Was trying to stick to the same principles for some time, but when seeing a lot of experts being silenced, and experience the flaws in the testing yourself, just to be told you're not entitled an opinion seems a bit harsh to say the least. "

Honestly I’m glad someone said it, I’ve been around people who’ve caught covid. High risk people as well. It hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as the government would have you believe. If you still trust the governments of the world In this day and age then you really should give your head a wobble. Start living outside of social media and the mindless dribble the newspapers put out. The death rate is only as high as it is because they count every death as a covid death if the Person has been confirmed positive within 28days.

No smoking isn't infectious, passive smoking and smoking in pregnancy can only harm the smoker so no worries there. Oh and I forgot about all of the 'help' available to get people to stop. Yet they are still publicly available. And as for known, the so called help for smoking is Vapes, obviously we know loads about them.

Smoking is just one example, I could go on all day about things that kill millions but raise no eyebrows. Why, because they are not always in the BBC news so the average sheep accepts all is fine.

The governments measures have nothing at all today with looking after the vulnerable or protecting the NHS.

My conspiracy hot take.

Covid-19 is a terrible accident. Spillovers happen. This one went global and badly wrong.

To protect public health Draconian measures are needed.

While we're distracted with Covid, incompetent governments are limiting their pockets with improperly procured contracts and at least talking about devolution and the Supreme Court being bad things, in order to shore up their already considerable power.

And those who claim to be on top of the corruption and ways to control us are whinging about the powers that be controlling their right to go to the pub and downplaying a pandemic.

It seems to be working for the government

"Obvious they are flawed. There are so many cases where people have had multiple tests on the same day with different results. Tests have even been done and fruit and vegetables which have come back positive.

However none of this make it into the BBC news so can't possibly be true. "

The problem is for every fruit that has tested positive there are 100 made up stories about fruit testing positive..

"fruit tests positive for Covid-19" seems like the pandemic "young earth creationist carbon dates stuff without carbon in it, declares that carbon dating doesn't work, therefore Genesis is literal truth John 3:16 repent and be saved"

Are they really made up? What makes you think they are made up but the shit you hear about on the BBC is true?

Oh and as for protecting the vulnerable. If you are vulnerable you should be shielding or PPE'd up like you're on the set of Casulty until you get the vaccine. Then once you've had the majic vaccine you're sorted so shouldnt need to worry about us 'selfish c nts'

Easily sorted: I don't look at the BBC

And because you believe that PCR doesn't work (despite all the other tests, evidence, post mortems, statistics, etc), those who are vulnerable need to lock themselves away forever, and those who can't be vaccinated doubly so?

Nice.

Gosh this thread is disturbing as it's not just one solitary muck spreader but several. I hope they bring in that new legislation to make it legal for social media sites to remove false and dangerous spreading of false information. I'm all for healthy debate and respecting differences of opinion. But some very scary people being developed at the moment.

I believe it's already legal. I'm not sure exactly what the legislation is pushing for, but something certainly needs to be done about the spreading of dangerous misinformation

I know most of the fruit stories are made up because they come from the same vein of social media truth as those who spout that the earth is flat or that vaccination is about controlling us with nanobots and 5G. Like any organisation the BBC has bias and agenda within it and it gets things wrong.. it is however very independent of government and has working within its ranks many very good and very honest people. If you do not hear the stories you believe to be fact on the BBC it is largely because they have been investigated by BBC researchers and proved to be fictitious bollox.

Agreed to both posters.....

The disinformation/conspiracy/denial/false "truths"/frankly bizarre/downright Damn stupid posts are dangerous.

Some people don't have the mental faculty to distinguish between fact and frankly ridiculous. They're a danger to themselves and the people around them.

Yes. People are abusing human frailty in order to push an agenda.

This sucks. We know it sucks. But denying reality and following conspiracy theories won't give you any more power or make it go away, you guys. You just sound gullible or slightly unhinged (conspiracy theorists in general, not aimed at anyone in particular)

Totally agree, free speech needs to be made illegal online especially anti vax.

Only guidelines from Boris and the government and media should be allowed on the net because they never lie.

We need to be just like communist China where free speech is banned and censorship is fully embraced

Making up stories and cut and pasting stuff from the loonytube isn't free speech.

Expressing your OWN opinion is free speech.

Most antivaxers have someone else's opinion.

It seems that with this virus, people fall into two camps.

Camp A....I want to get on with my life shagging/shopping/going on holiday/doing what I want, and if i catch it and/or pass it on then that's life.

Camp B....as Camp A BUT as I DONT want to pass it on if possible I am willing to fore-go the shagging/shopping etc because it's not just MY life.

I know which camp I am in.

It’s really worrying what it leads to. Going to have a generation of Americans with no faith in their institutions. And we’ve seen several times where that winds up...
