Just heard on the news from a woman who said she suffered from hair loss when she had covid. Not heard this before and wondered if it was common?

These things never have any positive side effects do they.

Like make your boobs or your willy bigger for instance.

New symptoms are coming to light which suggests to me the virus is mutating.

Hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos, and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight.

Yes we know a lady who was very poorly with Covid. She lost quite a lot of here hair over a number of weeks, to the point she was thinking about buying a wig.

Her hair is starting to grow back now but it is now curly???

We have a friend who lost her hair after having cancer treatment and when her hair grew back it was curly

Do you think hair loss is down to stress or the virus?.

I'd reckon it was more caused by stress than this virus

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Covid can make me cough, it can make me ache, it can take my breath and take away my sense of smell, but it will never take away my hair!!

Oh, what's that.. ok. Apparently it can..

Och, Bollox!

I've not seen research but we do know that it's affecting diverse organs in the body, including the brain. It's reasonable to contemplate our endocrine system being impaired, as can happen from localised brain damage. Disruption elsewhere could compound the problem. Certainly stress can affect hair loss, as could impaired lung function and blood oxygen saturation levels. It may not be 1 thing in isolation of course. There's much still to learn

I lost a lot of my hair after having the virus. It was coming out at such a rate I really thought I was going to be left bald. Fortunately it stopped falling out before that.

It’s very thin now, but slowly growing back.

It's a common side effect of basically having less energy than usual. Your body tries to conserve it by stopping non-essential processes, like hair growth. I've lost a lot of hair just through dieting
