Tests have margins of error. This isn't news.

Why did he do this, do we believe him?

If you have the resources, it’s an interesting experiment.

I have huge respect for his achievements, but like all immensely successful people he does have his own agenda, so wouldn’t read too much into it until other people repeat his tests.

It'll be variable swabbing. If he self swabbed four times, he most likely didn't go deep enough on some swabs, especially if he'd gagged on two, you'd be very cautious. Also swabbing dry areas will yield far lower amounts of cellular material. You aren't supposed to swab the same place multiple times over and over.

Conclusion - user error

Elon Musk has previously described lockdowns as 'fascist', has called people's anxiety 'dumb' and claimed all children are immune.

Then the nurse needs retraining. You do not swab the same area multiple times. Also medical professionals can still fail to go deep enough.

A colleague tested positive yesterday. She lives with her parents who also have symptoms. They both tested negative. They did self swabs. Most likely her (elder) parents did not shove it anywhere near far enough down. The fact we are allowing self swabbing is bonkers to me.

Article says he took 4 test throughout the day, same type of test done by the same nurse.

I'm guessing the HR team of tesla must not have done their due diligence on the nurse they recruited if she needs retraining.

Maybe you should let them know?

Sure, but lets just say for the sake of argument, as he has enough money to hire the best of the best in terms of staff, his medical team is probably highly qualified and experienced.

If swabbing yourself four times in a day is inadvisable, as indicated here, it sounds like he's not following best practices. Even if he could afford to do so. Why not?

Nothing to see here. It's the daily fail ffs. The same awful organisation that fuelled the MMR vaccine antivaxx campaign for years. They alone, promoting the discredited Wakefield man who had to be struck off - and even then carried on their antivaxx campaign - are probably the ones who got the UK to lose its WHO Measles status in 2019. So many lives put at risk.

They have never apologised or retracted what they did. And I'm not going to even consider that they have no foul agenda in place, concerning the wellbeing of us all. Musk obviously has an agenda too, so it's nothing of importance.

Stick with credible research from appropriate reputable sources. This aint it!

I think he needs to lay off the Mary Jane. It's clearly addling his brain.

Then again, that's what it does. Of the friends who I grew up with, not a single one now in their late 40's/early 50's doesn't have some form of psychosis from usage.

I feel very sad for them because it's tragic, and I feel blessed that I can't stand the smell of it and never went down that route.

Or if he's telling the truth..?

Why would anyone take four tests in one day in any case..?

Maybe to sidetrack people, maybe it’s him that released the virus in order to slow the increase in world population?

If you want it to spread poo poo all attempts at measures & discredit the testing regime.

Some will give credence to him if it supports their own view.

SYour tinfoil hat is showing

Not really as it’s not a new world order conspiracy

Just a thought I had. I think it’s natural so more a “What if it’s not, who would?”.

IF it was my money would be on him or maybe Bill Gates though.

Just something not quite right with them, maybe a bit “I’m so smart I know what the answer is but I also know no one would do anything about it, so I’ll have to do it myself”.

SNah, it's the lizards

Unless Elon is a lizard too

Hmmm, We’ll he does work in a big glass office in California

S"

Well I'm convinced

"It'll be variable swabbing.

Except he had the same nurse do all 4 tests"

And any nurse worth their salt would tell him re-swabbing the same area 4 times is ridiculous...

The guys a tool, you’d only do 4 swabs if you where searching for a story

It's not uncommon to get a false negative result. In the early days of testing results were only 70% effective. This may have changed now of course

My common sense tells.me that swab 1 could potentially contain some virus, swab 2 would contain less, swab 3 even less and swab 4 practically none as you've wiped it away with each swabbing?

But I'm sure some nurses* would do a shit meaningless swab for enough money.

* Not all nurses, I'm sure some have enough integrity to tell him to shove it.

It must be a really virulent virus if you have try so hard to find any of it.

"Nothing to see here.

Such as? I got laughed at for using YouTube, until I pointed out that the CDC have a covid related channel on there, so have lancet, but I don't use them anymore I just come on here were there are lots of 'experts' "

Any of the reputable journals that publish peer-reviewed evidence Dash. It can be fine to discover new ideas from seeing it discussed sometime but always trace it back to the original source, as other places discussing it may misintrrpret it or put their spin on things.

You've used a few YouTube channels where some reputable organisations have a presence. The actual published evidence is still the gold standard. I think you mentioned the Lancet the other day, which is a good lead source in the UK

For Tesla, sure. But the pandemic provides him with a lot of validation for the need for multi-planetary living and his bigger objective at SpaceX to get humans to Mars.

If Fred Blogs can get access to four tests, a) he's wasting them, and b) they're incorrectly administered as noted.

Next silly question?

Easy. Black.

I have a drawer of black socks only. In the morning, in that half-awake state, providing I only grab 2 socks, I can guarantee they will match.

Pragmatic life for the win

Two people in this thread with appropriate qualifications say that four tests in a day is inappropriate per se.

No, astonishingly I don't have access to Elon Musk's medical records, and I'm sorry if I can't meet your artificially high burden of proof. Yes PCR is a scam it's a plandemic open the economy etc etc

You asked about a hypothetical. In the hypothetical scenario about Fred Blogs, four tests in a day is inappropriate.

Whether the nurse has appropriate qualifications or not.

The same applies to Elon Musk.

Hope this helps

What is it with links, you provide the link to back up your arguement first, why should they do all the work.
