Anyone finding this lockdown tougher than the last

Club Meets Only

No, schools are open & it's a lot less stressful with the kids at least having some normality. If it was an actual lockdown like last time when schools were closed it would be a lot different

I'm finding it tougher because it's added to the previous pains we've all felt, built up since March.

It's painful too as the severity of the current problem was avoidable.

Last lockdown I was trapped in Turkey. Minus my lady. Their lockdowns were infinitely tougher than here. So this one frankly a doddle in comparison. I can work. I have a bubble.

I sympathise with anyone that is finding it tough. Stay strong. Above all be safe.

"Anyone finding this lockdown tougher than the last"

Yes as I live alone and my family live down South. I try to get out for a,walk everyday but sometimes I wake up and say whats the point. Selfish I know. I try to stay positive as there are a lot of people worse off and I thank God everyday I am well. But sadly my selfishness takes over. I left my marriage for a free life. Maybe my punishment.

It feels more futile. That it won't solve anything and will just cause harm.

I'm all for protecting public health and will do at least my bit. But the community solidarity is gone, the sense that the government understand what they're doing obliterated.

I do my bit. And try to ignore the creeping despair.

It isn’t anything like the last one for me. I was quite panicked last time and it felt like the end of the world for a while.

This time around I’m calmer, and I can get by with my support bubble and going for walks with people who live close by. As I’m in education work hasn’t changed and I’m mainly at home but occasionally on site, so that feels like the best of both worlds really

I am pretty lucky though and I know that a lot of people don’t have these options. Some of my friends are really suffering, especially after they felt they were hit hard last time. I’m doing what I can to support them

I hate it as work gets more stressful, have to work longer hours , ok we get paid for it , but sometimes being at home doing nothing is more important than running around like a mad man trying to please everyone,

I'm not convinced we are in one worked yesterday and driving to the job the roads were crazy people everywhere more like a bank holiday than a Saturday in lockdown and the amount of groups out walking, cycling together was unreal then as the evening came the fireworks started

I have a pretty humdrum work from home IT job anyway so nothing has changed there.

What is tough is not having any outside interests to look forward to so yes it's much harder to concentrate each day on my tasks as all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

That in itself is stressful to stay focused. Hopefully my efforts are not in vain as what I'm doing helps pay a bit of tax and national insurance so helping keep the wheels on this charabang.

Hopefully it's only for a month.

Doesn't seem like a lockdown at all.

Roads full and loads of people out and about.

Its nothing like the lockdown we had earlier in the year.

Last on I was furloughed .

In this one I work away from home on weekdays staying in hotels .

Like i said it doesn't feel like a lockdown

Apart from missing the gym nothing else is different.

Nothing's changed here, we were in tier 3 and even though the England wide lockdown started, it didn't affect me as schools remained open

It's got a deadline as well so it's just a case of waiting to see what December brings

No it is better this time, as my child's college is open, and they are enjoying their course,it's good for our kids to still be in education and have that social aspect,it was hard for them last time

I worked all through the last one too,so that's no different

Being single I can still see my eldest and their fiance as a bubble

I do miss seeing friends and do laugh that my colleagues at work are my only social interaction at the moment,

This time I do believe it will just go on a month,so there is light at the end of the tunnel,I'm lucky to live in a tier 1 area with a very low infection rate,so hopefully back to that one again as it is near normal as can be

To be fair, it only started a couple of days ago. Apart from a quiet weekend, nothing has changed yet.

I quite enjoyed the last one in the sunshine. This one is just a pain in the ass, plenty of shops open, lots of people out and about and people not sure what they can and can't do.

I think the weather and dark evenings are making this one feel boring.

The only thing I'm struggling with is not having all of my children home where I know I can care for them and keep them safe. My eldest has gone back to college and isn't allowed home until Christmas. I'm worried about him

Nothing else is different for me.

I miss my partner. Not seen him in a year and have no idea when I will see him again (he's abroad, vulnerable, can't fly back until it's safe and who knows when that will be?)
