In Denmark there culling all captive minks due to a new strain of covid.. there worried if it gets in the wild they will never control it

I think whilst they might be a possibility it's probably more the risk of mink to human transmission they're looking to prevent, I think it happened in The Netherlands earlier this year too..

I doubt its spread world wide within the mink community. President mink put an international travel ban on all minks worldwide to prevent it entering other mink communities.

Its been going on for a while ... thousands culled in US earlier in the year. The mink contracted it from humans.
