Delightful Bliss

Well it was the first day and apart from some places being shut it didn't seem any different to yesterday, lots of traffic, lots of people out shopping in the supermarkets, it was quite surreal compared to last time.

Anything different for yours?

Funny I've been saying the same thing. Other than pubs & gyms & a few shops in town closed its pretty much as it was.

The, roads seemed normal today nothing like the deserted scene back in march. Tesco seemed normal today which was a surprise. The only difference was the sight of some clothing shops, cafes and card shops, being closed. Plenty of people out and about.

On a mooch

It’s not really a lockdown though, a few businesses closed, can’t meet indoors, wfh if you can, schools still open, meet a other individual publicly outdoors, no time limit on being outdoors to name a few...... a lot less restrictions than the first one

No different here... but then it’s hardly a lockdown if schools and universities are open as usual.. as well as 90% of workplaces ... apart from hospitality being shut down (my sympathies to those people affected) nothing has changed really... makes you wonder what the point of it all is ....

I can't understand it really. You can go into tesco and the like and buy clothes, shoes, pyjamas,, books, cards,, toys, and Christmas gifts and yet all the I dependant shops have to close. This, really doesn't make any sense but then what do you expect with this inept government

That is true apart from the stay at home part, not many people seem to be staying at home...

Working flat out even though parts of the business should be shut, company is adamant its normal trading and they wont comply. We have even been told to delete the NHS app off our phones so we can be tracked and traced.

PS, its a multi national billion pound compnany

Cheshire, Windermere ,Cumbria

Had a lie in, went a long walk by the river, quick trip to the garden centre as our pet hedgehog didn’t like his new dinner so had to go buy his old type, bit of gardening and now bonfire bbq without the bonfire and watching all the distant fireworks, not a bad day at all but not sure the next 27 will be so pleasurable, figure I will go stir crazy lol

It is very quiet in my home town today. Hardly any traffic on the roads, the high street is a ghost town. Car parks virtually empty.

It feels very much like the 1st lockdown to me.

I had a lovely walk in the park this afternoon. With hardly anyone else around. So the bird song was once again much more noticeable

And I enjoyed feeding the squirrels who were very hungry & ran at me when they saw I had a bag of monkey nuts!

The roads were very quiet when i went to work today and there were very few people about.

I was then furloughed at lunchtime due to recieving the extremely highly vulnerable email. On the way home it was as quiet as it had been on the way in.

Mr M, work as normal, flat out and only likely to get busier, roads seemed as busy as ever tbh.

Mrs M, walked dog, housework, walk dog again, cut the lawns, tidy the garden then prepped tea for us hungry guys.
