We need a new mattress .

But don’t want to shop online. .

We want to see it and feel it : )

The shop we wanted to go to is in lockdown.

We thought a mattress is essential

Do you think mattresses are essential. ?

Can it not wait another month? I think the Govt would say you should have browsed the shops between Sunday and Wednesday and ordered one..... Unless the springs are sticking out, you'd hope you can manage till December. People managed from March to July, presumably, when such shops were also shut?

It looks like we will have to wait.

But we fear it might roll over again .

If things get desperate, go to your local farm

They've probably got a few hay bales at this time of year

I work in a warehouse dealing purely in clothes for a major supermarket. We didn't close last time and we aren't closing now. Not essential in my view.

Children's clothing is essential. Last lockdown, our just turned 3yo had winter clothing, age 3 which she was nearly out of. We'd not bought summer clothes yet (March) and obviously things from a year ago wouldn't fit. Turns out lockdown weather required summer clothes, age 4. Glad Sainsbury's was selling dresses and sandals -we bought very little but enough not to need to wash every day while we were working FT at home with said 3yo. Cheap sandals fine too. Now she's growing out of age 4 (tall child) but Uncle Boris gave us a heads up this time, so have bought winter clothes age 5/6 (child is still 3). Yes, she's grown that much in 8 months plus.

Kids grow quickly......

PS: Supermarket clothes are fine by us, we're not previous, but somewhere needs to sell them.

I got an Emma on offer at a price that made it about the cheapest mattress available. Very pleased with it. Have it in the spare room at present. It is really comfy to lie on but I am not convinced it would be a good shag pad? I need to test it..
